die Spannung auf das Begutachten deiner Schätze wird immer größer, es fühlt sich so an wie Weihnachten kurz vor der Bescherung. 

Wir alle hier lieben es, nach dem Ankommen des Wollpakets einen kleinen Blick zu erhaschen - natürlich nicht ins Paket, jedoch zu den Schätzen, die eine neue Heimat gefunden haben.

Magst du uns teilhaben lassen oder mal kurz schreiben? Hier bekommst du auch technische Hilfe, falls du die mal brauchst, zum Beispiel fürs Hochladen der Fotos. Ein Lebenszeichen von dir würde uns alle schon sehr freuen.

sanniischm wäre ja das nächste Ziel, wenn ich richtig gelesen habe. Bisher ging ja die Reise des Pakets ziemlich schnell... Wäre super, wenn sanniischm uns hier schreibt, wenn es bei ihr ist.

Am 28. September war das Paket bei Bastelfan (Andrea). Dort ist es am 3. Oktober weitergereist.

Am 8. Oktober hat matap (Martina) geschrieben, dass sie das Paket hat. Das war schon eine lange Zeit unterwegs bis zu ihr. Am 10. Oktober müsste es also weitergereist sein. Könnte theoretisch, wenn die Post mal schnell ist, sogar heute bei sannischm ankommen.

So haben wir alle mal einen aktuellen Stand der Liste und wie es mit dem Paket weitergeht.


Guten Abend in die Runde, 
Martina hat das Paket am Dienstag mit DHL abgeschickt. Laut Sendungsverfolgung wird es (erst) am Samstag bei sanniisch eintreffen. Manchmal braucht die Post eben länger. 

Ich habe Martina auch um ein Foto ihrer gefundenen Schätze für diesen Thread gebeten.

Dear Ina, a heartfelt thank you for your efforts—including tracking the package. At least now I don’t have to worry every day—as I’ve been doing since today—that I might have missed the package. I’ve just experienced firsthand that a package containing the knitting machine I purchased actually took over 10 days to arrive within Germany.

 Ich habe die letzten Wochen ( wo ich nicht so richtig laufen konnte), genutzt zum aufräumen und auch ältere Projekte abzuschließen .

Soooo, I was completely swamped with yarn yesterday, which is why I didn’t get a chance to check in🫠🤣

No, the decision was and still is really hard for me.
Not just choosing the skeins I’m taking, but also deciding what from my own stash will go into the box now.
I could easily send out a second package.

Since I couldn’t find a replacement box, I’ll have to tape up the one I received really well, but only once everything has been properly calculated. It arrived here already almost soaked through.
It’ll go out on Tuesday, when I’ll have a car available.

Was für ein tolles gelb, Susanne, das springt ja einem ja richtig entgegen 😉😉 Feine Wolle hast du ausgesucht.
Ja, die Entscheidung ist immer so 'ne Sache, das Problem haben wir wohl alle und das loslassen der eigenen Wolle z.T. auch.
Für Kartons ist es nicht das richtige Reisewetter. Ich hoffe, dass es trocken ist, wenn er bei mir ankommt, denn hier muss er per Rollator zur Post fahren.

Ich wünsche dir ganz viel Spaß mit deiner neuen Wolle. Weißt du schon was es werden soll?

It’s great that you’ve emerged from the yarn box again. It was definitely warm and cozy in there.

I really like the treasures you picked out. My favorite would be the colorful yarn on the right in the picture, in the soft colors. It looks sooo beautiful—a yarn you just want to stroke :-)
The yellow yarn is nice and thin, which isn’t something you see very often—and it shines such a lovely yellow. A great choice!

Ich bin dann mal fertig mit planschen 😁
Das war eine schwere Entscheidung und es wollte mehr Garn mit ins Paket als was ich rausgesucht hatte.... 
Im Moment geht der Karton so gerade zu, mit sehr viel überreden. Werde morgen nochmals Umpacken und ein Vakuumbeutel spendieren und dann Frage ich nochmal die Waage. 
Hier kommt meine Ausbeute.... 

Die Baumwolle möchte ich gerne färben 😉 die ist so schön weich....

Aus der Eco Puno wird ein Loop, schön im faire Isle.... 
Denke mal das ich Donnerstag das Paket zur Post bringe, morgen wird knapp... 

wow, Steffi, da sind aber viele Wollschätze bei Dir gelandet. Passende Farben für den Herbst.
Die Grüne und die Weiße gefallen mir auch.
Na dann viel Spaß beim Verarbeiten. Bin gespannt auf Deine fertigen Werke.

There are some great things in the package again (as always, right?), and I would have liked a few of those myself!
Do you dye your own wool?

I actually “already” have everything I’d need for this at home/in my hobby room.... So far, I’ve never really dared to try it. But it can’t really be that difficult. I “just” have to give it a try—though dyeing wool is a whole different story from dyeing cotton. I’ll just have to read up on it; that’s what the internet is for...

Actually, once Ina has had a look through it, the package could head back out on its journey right away, and everyone would have a pretty “mysterious” wool treasure waiting for them....
I also find it totally exciting to see what others find in their treasure....
Now I’m going to “ask” my printer if it feels like printing the shipping label on the spot—it sometimes needs a little persuasion...

Liebe Steffi, das Warten hat sich gelohnt, würde ich sagen. Sehr schöne Wolle durften bei Dir einziehen. Die Weiße finde ich auch ganz besonders, weil sie weich ist und der Faden ungleichmäßig ist. Das gibt verarbeitet bestimmt eine schöne Optik.

Die Ecopuno habe ich auch gleich gegoogelt. Die hat auch eine sehr schöne fluffige Optik, könnte sehr gut zu einem Loop passen. Wir werden sehen. Gute Wolle muss ja auch ein bisschen ablagern, damit sich unsere Phantasie entfalten kann.

Vielen Dank, dass Du so schöne große Bilder von Deinen neuen Schätzen eingestellt hast - so konnten wir alles gut sehen.

 Hallöchen meine lieben Garn- und Fadenfreunde

Was für ein wundervoller Samstagmorgen.

Heute Vormittag hat unser Postbote das Paket in meinem Esszimmer abgestellt und sich mit einem Schmunzeln verabschiedet.

Noch im Schlafanzug habe ich mir erstmal einen Kaffee gemacht und dann das Paket betrachtet. Riesig!!

Dann vorsichtig geöffnet…. Freude und….noch mehr Freude. Wie kann man denn da auswählen?
So viele schöne Sachen!
   Als habe ich mich hingesetzt, den Kaffee getrunken und mich strukturiert nochmals in das Wollebad geworfen *lol.Mit meinem Projektzettel habe ich jeden Wollknäuel geprüft und ihr kennt das bestimmt auch, mit jeder Wolle kamen mir neue Ideen in den Kopf. Mit dieser Farbe könnte ich….. mit dieser Fadenstärke könnte ich…, mit diesem Garn mache ich das Doch es gilt, wer die Wahl hat, hat die Qual und um diesen Qualen zu entgehen, muss die Projektliste wieder her. Noch einen Kaffee und dann habe ich mir tolle Sachen ausgesucht. Hier das Bild dazu…
Gerne möchte ich mich bei allen denen bedanken, die dieses prachtvolle Paket komponiert haben. Meine Gedanken dazu: wie schön, wenn man anderen Freude machen kann und selbst Freude erhält!

Nun ist das Paket auch schon wieder auf Reisen und zieht in den Norden zu Susanne. Ich habe auch wieder ein paar feine Sachen dazu gepackt und freue mich, wenn Susanne das Wollebad ebenso genießen kann wie ich.

And the post was so fast again—I checked the shipping status yesterday and it said expected Monday.... That really makes for a very successful Saturday morning.
Good thing I was at the post office on Thursday at noon. Schleswig has been underwater since Friday; the storm surge hit hard here, over 2.10 m above normal.... Pure chaos...
An acquaintance has two houseboats in her garden, one with its dock....
Everything is fine here, the water is far away, and there wasn’t any storm damage either. We got lucky.... 

You’ve picked out some beautiful yarn.
I know what it’s like to have projects in mind too; that’s why choosing gets harder and harder.

Oh Robine, das hast du sooo toll erzählt, wie eine spannende Geschichte. So konnten wir es quasi hautnah miterleben, wie du im Wollpaket ausgiebig gebadet und wie du dich vor allem gefreut hast. Ja, das stimmt, Freude verteilen macht unglaublich viel Spaß. Da stimme ich dir vollkommen zu. Das ist auch eine meiner Lieblingsbeschäftigungen. ;-)

Du hast dir schöne Sachen ausgesucht, soweit ich das erkennen kann. Bei mir kommen die Bilder sehr klein an. Die Hauptsache ist ja, dass sie dir gefallen und du sogar schon eine Idee hast, was daraus werden soll. Das wirst du uns doch sicher dann zeigen, oder?

Steffi, das ist super, dass bei dir alles trocken geblieben ist. Wir haben Verwandte da oben bei Kiel. Zum Glück sind sie auch verschont geblieben. War schon heftig diesmal.

Nun wünsche ich euch allen ein schönes Wochenende und bin schon gespannt, wie es weitergeht. Die Vorfreude steigt auch, denn es dauert gar nicht mehr lange, dann ist diese Riesen-Wollkiste bei mir. Was für ein Gefühl!! Ich kann es jetzt schon fast spüren...

I felt like I was sitting in Robine’s room, watching her unpack it. It was really exciting. Have we ever had such a first-hand account before?

Did you find what you were looking for according to your plan, or did you just end up picking out the yarns you liked, Robine? Most of the time, I pick out the yarn first and then figure out what to make with it.
You’ve chosen some really beautiful finds. The purple one and the yarn cake would have made it into my collection, too.

Houseboats in the garden...not everyone has that. That must have been quite a sight. I’m so glad you were spared, Steffi.

Steffi das Garn ist von mir.  Es war einfach nicht meine Farbe. Schön das es bei dir ein neues zu Hause gefunden hat. 

Robine, auch du hast wundervolle Schätze gefunden. 
Das Hochwasser  hat mich auch beschäftigt. Hier sind wir zwar nicht betroffen gewesen. Die Nordsee war ja diesmal nicht gefährdet. Aber wenn wir wie sonst im Oktober nach Dänemark gefahren wären ... Nun unser letztes Ferienhaus stand wohl ziemlich unter Wasser. Echt heftig. Von der Ostsee erwartet man das ja so nicht. Manchmal ist es gut so wie es ist.

thank you so much for taking us into your living room this Saturday morning. We all saw you in your pajamas with your coffee mug and that tingling sense of anticipation. It almost felt like we were right there with you.

And we all know what you mean when every skein of yarn speaks to you and pushes its way into your thoughts about what it could become. Each one wants to be admired and chosen. Your imagination takes off, and you can forget everything around you and immerse yourself completely in the world of yarn.

In the end, some yarns turned out to be more compelling than others and were allowed to come home with you. They’re sure to become something very special. And this new piece will always be linked to the joy of that thrilling yarn bath. Shopping in a store just doesn’t create that magic.

Bis zur Daumen-zunahne habe ich gestern schon gestrickt. Das Garn fliegt nur so über die Nadeln 😁

I really love the green—I’m a huge fan of green. And if the yarn is soft too, that’s great. That would be right up my alley. Can you tell me again exactly what it’s called? It seems like “Onion” is just the manufacturer that produces different qualities. Are you going to make wrist warmers with it?

The yarn is a “sock yarn made from natural fibers”—
70% wool and 30% nettle fibers....
It’s called Nettel Sock Yarn.

I’m actually knitting wrist warmers. I always wear them when I’m out in the woods with the dog, instead of gloves. I can’t grip the leash as well when I’m wearing gloves. …and sometimes I need to let my little one (a St. Bernard mix) know that I meant my command seriously and she can’t just “run wild” just because she thinks it’s fun at the moment… that’s when wrist warmers come in really handy; my last pair turned out a bit too big for me… So this yarn came at just the right time.

Vielen Dank, liebe Steffi. Die grünen Stulpen passen ja dann sogar noch zum Wald. Ist doch schön, wenn man schon so klar vor Augen hat, wofür man das gerade strickt. Deiner Hündin wird es freilich egal sein, ob und welche Stulpen Du trägst ... solange es für Dein Wohlbehagen sorgt und Du recht oft mit ihr rausgehst. Also strick schön fleißig weiter. Oh dieses Grün ... das hat was :-)

Hi Steffi, no, it was a gift. Unfortunately, it’s not my color at all. Sounds silly when it comes to socks, but… 
On top of that, I can hardly wear socks at all since chemo, let alone wool socks. They’re too warm and just unbearable on my feet. When it’s really cold, I still have plenty. I also have plenty of yarn. So I’m really happy when I see here that something beautiful is being made from it. 
I can only confirm the thing about wrist warmers and the dog. I knitted myself these market-woman gloves. They’re great, too. You can even use them to fish out a treat. And when it gets really cold, just flip the flaps over.
 And I’ve already given away a lot of them. They’re always a hit.

Thanks to Ina’s message, I can enjoy the anticipation—since I travel to Hamburg three times a week to take care of my parents, I hadn’t heard anything about this here.

Hi everyone :)
Whoever wrote the script for today’s chapter of my life gets a solid A :)

So.... normally I don’t do much in the morning, but today: vacuuming, mopping.
And today the mail carrier arrived THREE hours earlier than usual.
I was thrilled to receive this big package and made a big deal out of unpacking it.
In the end, I took out the following items, which I’ll upload in my next post.
For some reason, the photos just won’t fit between the text right now.

I’ve never had lace yarn before, so now I can give it a try.
And cotton yarn in two matching colors is always a good thing.

I repacked the package and then—duct tape :) And it held. I put the package in a big bag and rode my bike to the post office. What I hadn’t realized yet: that the post office is only open until 1 p.m. Luckily for me, the employee was in a good mood ;) and just commented on all the packing tape. Um…
The weather was also fantastic—a beautiful, sunny fall day.

The package is now on its way to Marlies in Stade. If you’d like me to share the tracking number, just let me know.

....I agree... The package turned out really pretty; maybe Marlies could draw a few more little flowers on it.... 😁 
The “post office” has trouble processing the package automatically if there’s too much tape around it; the scanner can’t read the code because the tape “glares,” but hey, maybe they’ll handle it a little more carefully then 🤷

So you had a “perfect” day 😄
Your new treasures are beautiful. The lace yarn is from Shoppel, right? What color is that? I really like it... 
Do you already have an idea for the cotton? The colors go really well together.
Now I’m curious to see what arrives at Marlies’ place in the next few days....

Let’s see what my grumpy temporary package delivery person has to say. Today there was an envelope in the mailbox with “Please do not bend!” written on it—neatly folded right down the middle... and when the big package arrives, oh dear.

I’ll see how I can spruce up the package. I’m sure I’ll find something.

Oh Susanne, that was quick again. I could really share in your excitement and I’m happy for you. I have to say, the package is already looking very “special.” Unfortunately, I don’t have that kind of heavy-duty tape, so I hope it stays together on its way from me to Ina.

I’m starting to feel like it’s right before Christmas, with the last few doors on the Advent calendar. The excitement is building… and so is the anticipation.

I’ll probably be able to look forward to it as early as next week. I’m soooo curious to see what wonderful treasures are waiting for me.

sieht doch lustig aus, unser Wollepaket. Hübsche Garne hast Du Dir ausgesucht. Das Hobbii-Garn wäre auch bei mir "eingezogen". Herrliche Farben.
Weißt Du schon, was daraus werden soll?

Meine Tauschwolle liegt noch hier, weil ich noch meine "Geburtstagswolle" verarbeiten möchte.
Einen genauen Plan habe ich noch nicht.

Susanne, let’s see if regular packing tape holds up. I hope so, because I don’t think I have a box that big on hand. In any case, I’m already really excited and looking forward to it.

Tja.... Ich habe auch noch das Panzertape in Pink, vielleicht wäre das angenehmer gewesen bei der Post :))) Egal, es hält und das Paket wird bestimmt auch noch die nächsten Stationen überstehen.
Das  Baumwollgarn habe ich eh schon in vielen Farben, diese passen gut für Topflappen. Schnell und hübsch fertig.
Das Lace-Garn hat die Farbe2179 - Blaukraut bleibt Blaukraut :)
Muss mal im Internet stöbern, wenn ich Zeit habe, was ich daraus machen kann. Oder mal wieder ein Tuch, habe genügend Mustervorlagen.

Sehr schöne Auswahl, liebe Susanne, Die Baumwollgarne bezaubern durch ihre Farben und das Lace-Garn bringt Dich vielleicht zu einer neuen Leidenschaft: dem Lacestricken. Da gibt es wenig Masche und viel Luft drum herum. Am Ende sieht das, wenn es gespannt ist, dann ganz toll aus.

Ich wünsche Dir viel Freude mit Deinen neuen Garnen und alles Gute für Eltern und für Dich. Sehr löblich, dass Du Dich um sie kümmerst.

Eine gute Wahl Susanne. Die Knäuel kommen alle von mir :) Das Baumwollgarn von Hobbii hatte ich mir für meine Oster-Amigurumi gekauft und das Lacegarn ist eine Pracht. Kommt aus Berlin, vom Wollhandel-Berlin. Ein toller Laden, kannst auch im I-net finden. Das Blaukraut besteht aus 100% Schurwolle und 
Merinowolle aus Patagonien (medium, superwash), natürlich non-mulesing.
Falls Du Fragen dazu hast, Adresse oder sonstiges, einfach fragen. 
Auf jeden Fall bin ich glücklich, daß die Wolle ein schönes neues Zuhause gefunden hat.
Hab ganz viel Spaß damit.

Und auch dem nächsten Empfänger wünsche ich ganz viel Freude mit dem Riesenpaket, was ja nun eher zum Panzerbandpaket wird :)

Ich bin gerade dabei die Pro Lana Wolle in einen neuen Lieblingspullover für meinen Mann zu verwandeln. Er liebt das Schokoladenbraun und hat es sich direkt gewünscht, als die Wolle ankam.
Er ist eben ein "Süßer" *lol

Habt gute Tage, das Wetter lädt ja gerade dazu ein, sich in die Ecke zu kuscheln, Kamin knistert,  Teelichter an, Tee der duftet , leise Musik im Hintergrund und das Klappern der Stricknadeln. Was gibt es Schöneres!!!

It must be very cozy where you are right now. For all of us, at any rate, it’s an inspiration to follow your example.
You’re happy that your beautiful yarn has found a new home, and I’m happy that your husband liked my chocolate-brown Pro Lana yarn. It’s a lovely brown, that’s true, and soft to the touch, too. I can imagine it looking really nice with a pattern. Did your husband have any specific requests, or do you have free rein with his sweater?

I’m so glad you discovered some lovely things in Berlin. I especially like the unusual colors (and the corresponding color names… Blaukraut, Lange Bank, etc.). You’ll love this wonderful yarn. I’ve made some beautiful shawls from this yarn (which I’ve been working with for quite some time).  They’re totally cozy and really nice and warm. A dream.

And as for your brown chocolate-colored yarn… Dirk likes it simple and understated. So stockinette stitch with raglan sleeves. I’ll just say that with this simple knitting technique—knit across and purl back—particularly precise knitting is essential. So it’s always a challenge to make sure the finished piece looks chic and elegant.
And yes, you’re right—this yarn has a gorgeous color; it’s super soft and will definitely be very comfortable to wear. I’ll let you know when the sweater is finished.

I’ve crocheted shawls from bobbles many times before, though always with a cotton blend.
So I’ll look through the patterns and then pick the prettiest one for this.
