Leipzig Craft Fair

I found some great finds, too. Here’s my little haul

Oh, dear Andrea, we all would have loved to be there. What a great outing, and so much to see. You found some wonderful things. The yarn has such a beautiful color gradient in warm tones—I would have loved that, too. I also think the die-cut template for the little envelopes is great. You can make really beautiful cards with it. Enjoy your treasures and your Sunday.

Oh Andrea, I’m a little jealous of you. I’d really love to check out a fair like that and see what’s out there. It really warms your heart to see the treasures you brought home. That Ferner wool—it’s a dream! I wouldn’t have been able to resist it either.

Monika, we really enjoyed it. I hadn’t been there in at least 10 years. But there were fewer vendors because of COVID. Still, I got everything I was looking for, and my husband found what he needed for his model railway, too.

But there were only three yarn booths there.

Well, Andrea, those three yarn booths would have been more than enough for me. ;-)
My husband sold his entire model train set because we didn’t have enough space. But it was interesting, too.

Monika , what? Selling a model train set. I’d never do that to my husband—make him sell his beloved model train set. We both love our hobby too much for that, and I also enjoy watching all the things there are to discover on the layout—things that move or flash.
My crocheted figures are all mini-sized, which saves space. So everything’s okay.

Health-wise, I’m feeling a bit better already. Thanks for the get-well wishes

Oh.... how lovely is that...
And your haul is great. We don’t have a craft fair up here. Many years ago, I went to “du und deine Welt” in Hamburg—there was quite a lot there for crafts and such. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t “my time” for creative things back then... 
Is the fair held every year? It would be a great idea to stay there a few days in the camper and enjoy some time at the fair too....

Steffi, yes, this hobby fair in Leipzig takes place every year around September/October.

Thanks for the info... I’ll make a note of it—who knows, maybe I’ll be able to make the trip...

Yeah, you know, a model train layout like that requires space to set it up. And if everything’s just packed away somewhere, it doesn’t make any sense. He has other interests now, so he passed his layout on to someone else. Everything has its time... I can’t even imagine life without my yarn and knitting needles anymore.
