Self-crocheted hand puppets are something very special. They are not as heavy as wooden puppets and are very sturdy. Yes, they can even be washed. If you want to crochet the puppets for a puppet theater, you can make very good use of your leftover yarn, because you don’t need much yarn for one puppet. You can give your imagination and creativity free rein, so that in the end you create completely unique Kasperl characters that no one else has.

Have fun making them

I especially like motifs—the ones shown here are ideal for a dishcloth or washcloth. With thicker cotton, you can also knit them into potholders. But of course you can get really creative and use the charts as colorwork motifs for a small blanket, a pillow, or something else.

All the motifs shown are created using only knit and purl stitches. In addition to a knitting chart with the counted pattern, the patterns include every row written out stitch by stitch, so even beginners can manage them well.

Felted Moccasins
Very easy to make yourself in all sizes and colors. The felted shoes can be worn as slippers all year round. They are non-slip, temperature-regulating, breathable, and soft to walk in.



Doorstop Sandbag
Now that we’re opening more doors and windows wide again, drafts can happen easily. This crocheted sandbag, weighing 4 kg, helps prevent that. Just place it in front of the open door, and thanks to its weight it reliably keeps the door in position. No more worrying about slamming doors and pinched fingers.



Princess Dress
This is wonderfully light and airy and will make every doll and doll mom shine. It’s very easy to knit, with or without beads. It can be completed with a sleeve scarf.



Universal Cowl for the Whole Family
You can always use it from fall to spring. You can choose the colors to match your wardrobe and you’ll always be well dressed with it. It is light and uncomplicated to knit.

It’s crocheted from leftovers and is super practical. It has lots of compartments all around for crochet hooks and the like. And your current craft project goes into the bucket. You always have everything together and can take it from A to B.
