Oh dear, her partner… where could he be?!

Once upon a time, there was a crochet hook and a knitting needle who were happily getting ready for Christmas.

(And now it’s your turn.)

Dear users, dear co-authors,

last year we wrote a wonderful—and at times funny—Christmas story together here on the forum. I’d like to inspire you to do the same in 2018.

It’s really simple:

• Everyone adds to the story with one sentence (or sometimes two). Feel free to make it funny.
  
• The story will be even more interesting if it includes something related to crafts.

And now, let your creativity run wild. I’ll just get things started in the next post.

This colorful children’s jacket has everything kids need for outdoor play. It’s comfortable, has a hood, and features pockets to stash treasures.

The jacket is knitted top down with raglan shaping and has almost no seams.

You’ve all been really busy, wow.
I’m also in the home stretch with the baby sleep sack. Now I just need buttons, though... hmm.
I’m going to look for some now so I can still finish it in November.

And then I’ll do a little test knitting for my idea for the color event.

My little bear is a bit tricky for me because I’m crocheting it out of fuzzy yarn. I’m not exactly fond of the tiny parts I’m working on right now. But I’m confident I’ll have it finished by Christmas.

Brand new in the shop is this men’s vest with a cable pattern made from merino wool. It will keep the men well supplied and warm, too.

The vest is knitted in one piece without seams. Knitting experience is recommended. The pattern is printer-friendly and includes an appendix with detailed photos for individual steps.

The measurements fit sizes 46–50, but they can be adjusted very easily to other sizes.

Oh Arni, how cute is she!!! Sigh... you’ll fall in love with her right away, and she’s even cuter than the last one.

My sleeping bag is in the final stages, and I’m now faced with the decision of exactly how I want to design the top part… it’s not exactly easy for me.

For me, evenings are going pretty well right now, and I also get to it every now and then during the day. I take every opportunity I can.

I'm pretty busy with work right now, so I'm doing crafts a little less often than usual. But I've decided to finish knitting the baby sleeping bag and also write the pattern for it right away. 

I should also bring the cuddly bear in for a landing this month...

We adults don’t exchange gifts anymore. My grandkids get something knitted or crocheted. My son’s youngest (2 1/2 years old) is getting a new pair of leggings and some more play food for her play kitchen. She absolutely loves playing with that. If I can manage it, she’ll also get a crocheted cuddly teddy bear. She loves teddy bears just as much as I do. :)

My older granddaughter (12) wants wrist warmers, and that’s exactly what she’ll get. That’s it for the ones who are into handmade things.

I don’t really have any ideas for the others yet… but there’s still plenty of time.
