Once upon a time there was a pretty little bag—crocheted by you from just a few grams of yarn. This one bag felt very lonely and was sad. Oh, if only I had a few sisters, then I wouldn’t be so bored and we could play together.
And because you have a kind heart and plenty of leftover yarn, you crocheted
23 little siblings for the lonely little bag. Oh, what a cheerful bustle it was. No one was alone anymore.
And because they were all so happy together and played so cheerfully with one another, you asked them whether they might like to be
something very special for 24 days : namely a colorful
Christmas calendar for a very dear child.
The 24 little bags were thrilled with this idea and from then on dreamed only of this special Advent season, in which they would be allowed to play this special role. Each one of them would get to be something very special for a child on one day. Each one of them would be lovingly decorated and filled with little surprises. She alone would be chosen very early in the morning by wide, amazed children’s eyes. Full of anticipation and with shining eyes, the child would beam at her and then very carefully turn to her contents. She would be carried around that day and proudly shown to the others. And the next day it would be the little sister bag’s turn to experience this magic.
At the end of November, things got exciting. All the little bags were decorated and filled. Each one received a red star with a number on it—and from then on that was her special lucky day, the day she eagerly awaited. All 24 little bags were tied to a clothes hanger, which was hung in the Christmas room. From here they had a great view of the Christmas preparations. None of the Advent atmosphere escaped them. They were all excited and now waited for December 1 ... Then their big moment would begin ... :-)
If you, too, want to experience this exciting fairy tale about the 24 little colorful bags or tell it to your children or grandchildren, you need to crochet them now.
