Dear community,

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Did you have a pleasant August? What would you still like to accomplish before the end of the month? Do you have plans for September?

Have a great weekend too—to you and everyone here. August was great; I was on vacation during the hot days. Even though I didn’t get much knitting done, I finished my UFO Midsommar scarf by Bernd Kestler yesterday. All those little lace patterns really challenged me quite a few times when I had to rip back because I’d miscounted again...😅 In September, I want to knit socks for the world record again—I’ll be on vacation again then. And maybe do another diamond painting with a beach theme, and so on and so forth....😂

Best regards from Silvia 👋

I’d also like to wish everyone a wonderful weekend.

We’re on the road right now, and I packed a UFO to work on. I’ll be working on it this afternoon.

The weather in August was so nice that we got out and about a lot. Here’s hoping September continues in the same vein.

Take care

Petra

August was pretty quiet for me, which was actually quite nice. I’m not planning too much for September—it would be nice to have a little more time for creative projects. :)

And as for the weather, I’d be happy if it stayed a bit like late summer for a while longer.

Thanks to you too, Josefa, and a wonderful weekend to everyone here; August was far too hot for me, and I couldn’t do much—just lifting a finger made me look like I’d just stepped out of the shower. I barely went outside, and when I did, it was only to go shopping or if I had an appointment. Now I’m looking forward to moderate temperatures in the fall, when I can breathe again.<\/p>

Best regards, Inge<\/p>

I wish you all a wonderful weekend, too!

Well, the weather—if only we could make it ourselves. The temperatures here are very pleasant, but it rains every day. Good for nature, bad for my inner slacker when it comes to taking a daily walk.

Today I had brunch with some dear friends, and tomorrow evening I’m going out again—my friend and I are going to plan our next trips. We’ve got plenty of ideas, so it’s sure to be a successful evening.

I’m checking in again after a long time. Since the end of March, I’ve been out of commission because my legs gave out from one day to the next. I had to undergo two spinal surgeries and then spent five months at the Spinal Cord Injury Center in Rummelsberg. Unfortunately, the paralysis remained, but at least I’ve learned to cope with it a little. During that time, I didn’t do any crafts at all, which of course affected my sales.  But I just couldn’t bring myself to do anything. Now I’m back home, and my enthusiasm for crafts is gradually returning. Luckily, you can still crochet and knit even in a wheelchair. Sewing, on the other hand, will probably be more difficult. With the help of my children and the home care service, I’m slowly finding my way in my new life...

Oh Ruth, I’m so sorry to hear that. I’d been worried about you because things had been so quiet around here. You used to pop up in the forum every now and then. Now we know why. Thank you for telling us.

What a drastic change in your life. It’s a huge adjustment. Fortunately, your children and the home care service are helping you. But it’s still a time of great challenges. I hope things continue to go as well as possible for you and that you make the best of it. Life is still worth living and precious, after all.

Fortunately, you have your crafts, and your mind and hands are still working. So your crafts bring you joy and relaxation during this difficult time.

I’m thinking of you and sending you my warmest regards—Ina

Dear Ruth,

Oh my, you’ve had to go through a lot since then... But it’s nice to hear from you again and that you’re back home, even if things have changed quite a bit. I really hope you find your way back to knitting and crocheting—and, of course, to writing patterns. I love your patterns. All the best to you 💐🍀

Warm regards from Silvia
