We had sunshine here; the clouds came later, along with the wind.

Cloverleaf

I copied everything over, it reads better this way. Then everyone can copy the text and add their sentence. :-)

Everyone was really happy because
after a long stretch of rain, the sun appeared in the sky again today for the first time.....
.. and nature awoke from its sleep.
Of course the children wanted to go outside right away to... ..play soccer ⚽ and
finally ride their bikes around the neighborhood again.
Pia zipped around the corner of the house on her red bike and....
she almost crashed into Paul.
Luckily, though, nothing happened.
Since the two of them had already run into each other ....
...they immediately arranged to meet tomorrow to...
... try out a new game...
But they still needed lots of other children for this game. So ....
tomorrow during the big break they wanted
first to make a long list...
Pia and Paul were the first ones on the schoolyard and
were amazed at what they saw.
There stood a gigantic truck, loaded with...
colorful crates...
and of course they went straight over to the driver......
But what is inside the crates?
In a green crate there are lots of...
green tree frogs. In a red crate they found...
loads of toys.
..there was a trampoline, too.
The children were really excited and...
first tried everything out until...
... one of the children discovered something else ...
Wow, among all the crates they found something that looked like a ......
..gigantic surprise egg! They tried to crack it open,  but...
they needed help from ...
adults.
Paul ran to the janitor, but....
... he was nowhere to be found just then...
So what now?
I could get my big brother, Pia shouted ......and ran off right away.
Meanwhile.... .. the bell had rung and recess was over. Then...
...of course everyone had to go to their classroom, but... where is Pia, she still wasn't back.
Paul went back and....there came Pia and her big brother, already walking toward him.
She had brought him along because he...always has good ideas and
is strong, but... ... here he was stumped at first, but... ...suddenly he had a brilliant idea..
He organized a gigantic crane.

Thank you, Marlies.
I’ve always kept especially pretty cards, too. Everyone in my family appreciates handmade items and keeps them. That really makes me happy.
I have fun crafting, and I bring joy to others. What more could you want?

Steffi, you ordered some gorgeous colors there.
For the contrast color/main color, I’d probably use natural; it goes with all your colors.
Wishing you success with your project.

Dear Petra,

I’d also like to send you my warmest birthday wishes, all the very best, health and well-being.
Always stay true to yourself, and continued success with your shop.

To your health

Best wishes, Andrea

Yeah, that’s right, Petra. It works out perfectly this month. We’ve been looking forward to it all year. Going out for a nice meal, relaxing. Maybe going to the movies again for the first time in a loooong time—that’ll be great.
I’m sure it’s been over 10 years since I’ve been to the movies.

One more thing: my parents’ wedding anniversary is on May 15, so the four of us are going out to eat together (I have the day off then, too)—that’ll be nice—and May 14 is Mother’s Day. Everything’s all happening close together.
I’m going to get some flowers and make a little gift.

Thank you so much for your feedback.😊

Yes, I was told the card was received with great joy. That always makes me happy.
I was also commissioned to make a birthday card for a 6th birthday and, at the same time, a first-day-of-school card. I’m happy to do that.
Most of the time, I never know in advance what the card will look like. The ideas come to me as I’m crafting.

Coming up next: invitation cards for my mom’s 80th birthday along with a birthday card,
and getting ready to bring my ideas to life for my own 60th birthday (invitation cards)—all handmade, of course. I’ve already gathered some ideas from the internet. I’ll post pictures of the finished projects here for you, of course.

Warmest regards from me

@Petra and Steffi,

According to the pattern, I want to crochet all the rounds listed there. I still have a lot of rows ahead of me. Pattern-wise, I’m not quite halfway there yet, but it’s so much fun.
I always have to force myself to take little breaks. You want to get something done when you have some time off, after all.

Let’s see how far I get (in terms of yarn). The contrast doesn’t really come across in the photo.
Steffi, your frame looks really pretty, though.

@everyone: The idea of using a bowl as a yarn ball holder is brilliant.
The little flower dolls are so cute.

Made a bit more progress. Here’s how it looks now.

Have a great weekend!

Of course, we’re making the most of every brief moment of sunshine.
That’s exactly what I’m doing this afternoon on the balcony—sheltered and veeeery hot in the sun, with ice cream and a cappuccino. It’s a wonderful time to relax, since tomorrow it’s back to work.

I’m still doing a little crocheting, though. Clouds are slowly rolling in.

Hugs, Andrea

@Schneckenkind: All the best for your upcoming surgery and a speedy recovery. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you.
@Petra: Wishing you a relaxing vacation in the sunshine

I’m already counting down the days—just three more weeks, then we’re on vacation. And our wedding anniversary falls during that time, too. If the sun is shining too, everything will be perfect.
We want to go away, but we haven’t decided on an exact destination yet. We’re flexible about that.

Hi there, Chris!

Welcome to the CP Forum. You’re sure to have a lot of fun marveling at the projects, finding inspiration, and enjoying the friendly, family-like, and respectful atmosphere here.
I also ended up here by chance back then, and I feel right at home.
But be careful... it’s addictive, with all these great patterns.
Maybe we’ll get to admire your creations soon, who knows.

Hugs, Andrea

, and wishing everyone a relaxing and creative weekend!

I made this card for one of the residents. Her grandson’s birthday is tomorrow.
The small envelope inside is for money, and I left the other side blank for a message.

Everything is handmade.

Dear Ina,
my very best wishes on your birthday—wishing you good luck and good health.
May all your wishes come true.

Here’s a little greeting from today’s walk.

Hugs, Andrea

Hey, what great treasures you’ve picked out for yourself. Such a colorful mix.
I actually held that confetti yarn in my hands at first, too, but then decided on a different “unfamiliar” yarn.
That’s exactly how it should be. Touching, feeling, testing the yarn... It was the same for me.
I would have liked the pink yarn, too.

Have fun trying it out and working with it.

Best, Andrea

Yeah, Ina, I’m picturing that right now—it’s so funny. That really made me laugh out loud.
I’m also eagerly waiting to see which yarn will find a new home.
We’re keeping our fingers crossed that everything arrives safely with the other swap partners.

Oatmeal Soup

What a great deal, Steffi. I would have bought that for 5 euros, too.
Beads are always a good choice—they look great. I still have so many lying around here because I just don’t have the time to work with them.

Have fun crafting with them!

Yarn dispenser

Where’s Pia? She hasn’t come back yet.

@Marlies, those are the blue yarns.

Hi Marlies,

I just read that the package was delivered, but it’s still annoying how it arrived at your place.

You’re so quick, and you’ve found some lovely wool treasures—I even recognize some of my own yarns.
I’m sure you’ll make something wonderful out of them. Have fun working with it.
We’re looking forward to the next “Wollebad.”

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend with the swap yarn :-)

Love, Andrea

is absolutely amazing. Really great and so lovingly crafted, and very true to the original.
Everything looks so delicious. Even the “egg carton” is crocheted.
It makes you want to play with it right away, even as an adult. Great work 🌭🧈🥚🍪😍

they first tried everything out until...

Zipper

tons of toys.

There was a huge truck there, fully loaded with...

First, let’s make a big list...

Craft scissors

Luckily, nothing happened.

I’ve already test-crocheted with the ribbon yarn; it works great.
Maybe I’ll make a bag out of it; we’ll see. I’m still experimenting.

With the neon yarn, some mosaic granny squares, and with this thin crochet yarn, little figures or maybe the included pattern for doilies.

Ina, you’re a sweetheart, thank you.

Marlies, you can look forward to being next. I’ve just sent the package on its way.
Have fun browsing.
Maybe it’ll arrive this weekend, who knows.

Lots of love, Andrea

Thank you, Inge. And thanks to Petra, too. I really like this kind of thing.

So, my dear yarn lovers,

I had the pleasure of being the first to look inside this package.
It was quite heavy—I managed to carry it up to the 3rd floor, opened it…

and there I stood, faced with a huge selection. It wasn’t easy to decide this time. Beautiful yarns. Let yourself be surprised.
For the first time, I’m trying this great ribbon yarn (top left).

Here’s my haul

Hugs, Andrea

Marlies gets to look forward to it next

What a beautiful abundance of blossoms.
Doesn't it look great?

Photo with the magnolia taken a few days ago; the other one is from today. Gorgeous😍

  Have a lovely week, everyone

Best wishes, Andrea

Hi everyone,

Joy. The yarn package arrived today.
More on that later. Thanks, Ina

Hi Monika,

I also wish little Linja a speedy recovery and hope that everything will be okay.
Such little rays of hope do give you hope again, and I think it’s wonderful that she’s learning to ride a bike. It distracts her a little.
All the best to you

Best wishes, Andrea

Thank you very much—I wish you all a relaxing, sunny weekend as well, and for those who have time, some crafting too.

I have the whole weekend off again for a change. Today we were able to move our coffee break out onto the balcony—it was wonderfully warm in the sun; you can really soak up the sunshine. After all those rainy days, that felt really good.
If the weather cooperates, we’ll go on a little bike ride tomorrow, somewhere along the Havel River.
And definitely some crafts.

Best wishes, Andrea

Here we go. I’m really excited, of course, especially since I’m even first this time.
Let’s see what swap yarn arrives for me and gets to join my stash. Thanks, Ina

Those are some funny snapshots.
