I hope you have a wonderful weekend and have fun with your crafts. Are you able to sit outside while working on your crafts yet?

Yessss. I can finally be outside with my crafts again. There’s natural light, so you can see every stitch better—and there’s fresh air and birds chirping. That’s just pure luxury when you’re crocheting or knitting.
We’ve been waiting for this all winter.

But this weekend won’t involve much crocheting or knitting, because we’re expecting birthday guests. There’ll be plenty of hustle and bustle in the house and garden—depending on the weather.

It’s slowly getting a bit warmer, but it’s raining again today. You really have to make the most of the sunny moments here, because according to the forecast, the whole of next week is supposed to be very wet as well.
My husband is having an old friend over this weekend—they served in the German Armed Forces together, and he’s kind of lost touch with him since he got sick. He’s really looking forward to it.
I’m going out with a friend tomorrow evening; once a month, we go out for a nice meal and catch up. I’m really looking forward to that.
That’s the only thing I’m finding a bit difficult in this new phase of life—I don’t want to eat only home-cooked meals anymore. We used to go out and travel a lot; I always found it really exciting to try new things. Of course, I still try something different every now and then, but it’s somehow not the same.
I’m also crocheting and reading, of course—luckily, I still have plenty of projects to keep me busy.

Of course, we’re making the most of every brief moment of sunshine.
That’s exactly what I’m doing this afternoon on the balcony—sheltered and veeeery hot in the sun, with ice cream and a cappuccino. It’s a wonderful time to relax, since tomorrow it’s back to work.

I’m still doing a little crocheting, though. Clouds are slowly rolling in.
