Greeting Card

I made this card for one of the residents. Her grandson’s birthday is tomorrow.
The small envelope inside is for money, and I left the other side blank for a message.

Everything is handmade.

You did a great job! A lovely card for a little firefighter fan. When the resident shows the card around, you’ll get even more requests. Maybe you should make a few more right away, so the residents can choose. They don’t usually have access to nice greeting cards for their loved ones. And these are personalized and one-of-a-kind. If you display them in a pretty box, they’ll be gone in no time.

Yes, I was told the card was received with great joy. That always makes me happy.
I was also commissioned to make a birthday card for a 6th birthday and, at the same time, a first-day-of-school card. I’m happy to do that.
Most of the time, I never know in advance what the card will look like. The ideas come to me as I’m crafting.

Coming up next: invitation cards for my mom’s 80th birthday along with a birthday card,
and getting ready to bring my ideas to life for my own 60th birthday (invitation cards)—all handmade, of course. I’ve already gathered some ideas from the internet. I’ll post pictures of the finished projects here for you, of course.
