Hi everyone,
I stumbled upon crazypattern by chance and am thrilled that it’s so easy to sell patterns here. :-)

I’ve also read that there’s a very active author community here. That’s something I’ve really missed as an author so far...

As an author, I have two passions:

First, relaxed conversation, and second, the traditional crafts of patchwork and quilting.
 
So far, I’ve published books on these topics and I’m very excited to see what it will be like to post patchwork patterns here as PDFs and have direct contact with my readers.

I’m always grateful for tips, because I don’t want to put my foot in every beginner’s trap here ;-)

Patchwork is a wonderful hobby. I love admiring the beautiful quilts at exhibitions. There are no limits to the imagination.

I also came here by chance at the end of 2006, and I liked it right away. Since March 2007, I’ve been contributing here as a designer and have to say it was a very good decision. I still feel very comfortable here, and some private friendships have even developed.

Sooner or later, everyone interested in crafts ends up here on this site. For me, that was in 2015—it feels like forever ago. I’ve been following the site’s and the forum’s development ever since. If it weren’t so great, I’d probably have left by now.

I’m glad that we’re now also getting patterns and discussion threads about patchwork and quilting. Crazypatterns thrives on the variety of things you can create with your hands. I look forward to admiring your work. Maybe, as a beginner at sewing, you can even inspire me to try my hand at patchwork. Books always seem too impersonal and too brief to me. That’s why I’ve never bought one on this topic. Perhaps you’ll provide that first spark that’s always needed to get started with a new technique.

And your second passion—chatting without stress—you can really let that shine here. The forum is lively, and everyone can find threads to contribute to. Feel free to take your time and browse through all the topics. You’ll soon figure out what interests you. Otherwise, we’re all just people like you and me here, whose hobby is crafts. We chat about these and much more. It’s become a part of all our lives.

A warm welcome! I’ve been a customer at Crazypatterns for a very long time, but at some point I switched to being an author and uploaded my first free pattern—and was delighted that other crocheters liked my ideas. One thing led to another, and now I also sell patterns and really enjoy blogging. Plus, the technical side of things is so easy and intuitive. Transactions go smoothly, and I’m very satisfied here.
You can find all the information here in the (authors’) forum, and on top of that, there’s helpful support from fellow authors. I hadn’t expected that at all.
