Quite a few things have been finished since I last checked in here. Good job, everyone :-)
I’m not quite sure if I’m in the right place—there was another thread about shawls somewhere, but I can’t find it right now. In any case, I’ve finally taken a picture of my shawl UFO, and since it’s still made from my yarn stash, it brings me a little closer to world domination :-)

For me, leftovers also include partially used skeins. So, for example, if I bought 5 skeins for a project and then used 4 1/4, I’d have a 3/4 skein left over.

This bracelet is called "The Waves of the Sea and of Love". I thought that was so poetic :-)
In any case, it's knitted from leftover cotton and looks much more complicated than it is.

Even a single stripe can be very striking when it really catches the eye. That’s the case with this lace shawl. The stripe also stands out because of the pattern, which is different from the rest of the shawl.
For this, you’ll need sock-weight yarn in two different colors, with the amount depending on your desired shawl size. The two different lace patterns are explained in writing and also clearly shown in several knitting charts.

And there are only a few weeks left until Easter!
Oh—I just remembered, we need new socks. 

Oh, come on—socks! My table needs a new decoration
. Bring on those cute little chickens!

And then some little caps for the eggs and flowers for the table.
Oh, how lovely my Easter breakfast table will be.

I can hardly believe it myself, but I actually haven’t bought any yarn since the start of the year. I’ll need more yarn eventually for the crochet blanket I’m working on, but maybe I can put that off a little longer. Just to be safe, I’m signing up for world domination. I’ll reserve the “inner slacker” thing for later.

This scarf is special because it has fringe on the sides rather than at the ends. It is crocheted with very thick wool (the pattern basically also works with thinner yarns), so it’s a crochet project that’s finished in no time. Also very suitable for beginners!

You can find a fringed scarf with a twist on my page. It’s “different” because it’s both knitted and crocheted. The long, straight section is knitted, while the fringed ends are crocheted. This scarf is meant more to spice up your wardrobe than to keep you warm. That’s simply because of the cotton used for it.

Without ruffles, but undoubtedly very feminine and romantic, this lace shawl is inspired by the fairy tale of Snow White. Snow white and bright red are the colors whose contrast also marks two different lace patterns. These are shown in knitting charts, but also written out row by row.
The shawl is knitted with sock-weight yarn, with the amount needed depending on the desired size. A very festive shawl that will make you look great at any celebration.

The crochet shawl "Paean" is very feminine and also has a ruffled edge. With its charming lace pattern, it is a little reminiscent of the good old days. That should come as no surprise, since it was originally created as a tribute to my grandmother, who taught me to crochet.

I think brioche stitch works well for large areas. It is soft and has a bit of texture, but not too much, so colorful yarns with color gradients show up nicely. Here it is used for a rectangular stole. If you have never knitted brioche stitch before, it is explained in the pattern with photos.

This scarf pattern is suitable for yarns with both long and short color gradients. It’s important that there are color gradients at all, because that’s what makes the diagonally knitted pattern stand out.

And for true experts who aren’t afraid of a challenge: This baby hat isn’t just knitted in two colors (2 colors per round), but you also have to keep track of the cables. But the result is something to be proud of!

For the pros among you, I have a hat here that definitely requires quite a bit of concentration. It is knitted with sock yarn and has a diamond-shaped lace pattern that tapers toward the top.
The pattern comes in two sizes, and a knitting chart for the lace pattern is also included.
