when your question pops up in the forum, I know my workday is almost over and I can already look forward to the weekend.
Thanks!
This time, I don’t have any plans for the weekend yet—my husband can’t decide whether we’re going skiing or not, or even where we’d go and on which day.
All the housework is done, so I’m just looking forward to the weekend and taking it as it comes.
And of course, there’ll be time for some crafts.
Tomorrow, our oldest is participating in the state round of a
math competition at school, and tomorrow evening we’re
going out for Chinese food with some very dear friends and then
over to their place afterward.
On Sunday, we’re planning to just relax. Our oldest has to study,
and I’ll be crocheting. My Angry Birds have to be finished by March
3.
I’m kind of in a bit of a slump right now: I have plenty of ideas in my head (let’s not even talk about my yarn stash), but something’s just not clicking. Is it just too cold, or is everything that needs to be tidied up getting in my way?
At least I’ve bravely started organizing my yarn properly (it’s a kind of UFO, after all!). Tomorrow, after I go shopping, I’ll first go and have some Lenten soup, then I’ll tackle another UFO and also try to finish the scrap-yarn owls. On Sunday, after church, hopefully my crafting energy will be back in full force—I certainly won’t be short on time!
The weekend will probably be a bit stressful. My mom was discharged from the hospital this Wednesday (she’s had a stroke, the flu, and pneumonia since December—in that order), and even with 24-hour care, it’s not exactly easy. Today there was another emergency call after she fell, and somehow you’re constantly expecting something to happen.
My crafting is a bit limited because of that. We’ll see.
I really appreciate it when you give me feedback on my chat topics, project threads, promotional threads, etc.—it helps me know what to focus on. Have a great weekend.
This weekend, I’m going to focus on my UFO—the children’s sweater. If it weren’t for UFO Week, it probably would’ve been left on the back burner for now.
I’m also planning to go for walks and bake a delicious (vegan) cake. I’m just looking forward to having plenty of time for everything I love to do.
I wish all of you here a wonderful weekend and plenty of time for yourselves and your hobbies. To everyone who isn’t feeling so great right now, I wish you a speedy recovery and lots of strength!
Good morning. I just got up. Anton and my husband are still asleep... Lovely :-)
I made myself a cappuccino, am watching the Olympics, and crocheting. Later, we want to go look at some furniture and take a walk. Tomorrow I’ll probably keep cleaning out the basement. Right now, it’s like a treasure hunt. I’ve started going through my husband’s boxes—the ones he’s moved with twice—without even looking inside. I found an awesome wooden crane that he used to play with. It’s huge, etc. The weather here seems to be getting better.
I’m about to practice French with our daughter, since she has a test on Monday. I hope I can make some progress on my firefighter today, because I didn’t have time to crochet yesterday.
