I found such a great crochet pattern, but unfortunately my French—laughs—isn’t that good, so my question to you is: what do these mean?
Stitch
Slip Stitch
Foundation Chain
Treble
Double
I can work out some of the terms, but I’m hoping for your kind help. See you later... thank you
I’m not really into crocheting—I knit everything you can imagine instead.
I’ll pass this question on to the crochet experts.
Or check out YouTube—there are plenty of videos on the topic.
Slip stitch is a slip stitch.
If you don’t know how to crochet a slip stitch, you can either look for videos on YouTube or check the blogs here; maybe there’s a post about it.
Foundation chain can also be a foundation single crochet, but I’d have to know the pattern for that. You can just as well crochet a foundation chain and the first row of single crochet stitches.
A double crochet is a double crochet, and a treble crochet is a treble crochet.
Does the pattern mention anywhere whether it uses British or American crochet terms?
UK – double crochet: single crochet; treble: double crochet
US – double crochet: double crochet; treble: treble crochet
Thank you for your reply. This is page 1 of the crochet pattern that Google translated for me; I wrote down the terms in blue. Edit: Pictures removed
I’ve removed the images for copyright reasons.
Please don’t post any images that you didn’t take yourself.
What you can do is write down the stitches you don’t understand.
Please don’t post any external links either.
If in doubt, try to find out who created the pattern and see if there’s a way to contact them.
