The leftover yarn is waiting in the basket—
is there a lovelier place?
It shines at me with its beautiful colors,
and now I have no idea where to even start.
I’ll just grab my crochet hook and
bike over to my neighbor’s.
My neighbor is amazed—I knew he would be,
since I only recently warned him about the hook!
Oh no, now he’s been struck by yarn addiction too.
And oh no, my favorite magazine with the pattern is already unavailable!
No problem—we’ll just check out CrazyPatterns
online;
the selection is huge—and I’m sure we’ll find just the right thing.
An Easter basket—now that would be something!
Or maybe an Easter bunny?
Or perhaps a colorful Easter egg instead
and off we go—the search begins.
A colorful Easter wreath would be great, too; slowly but surely, the wish list is filling up.
And there are only a few weeks left until Easter!
Oh—I just remembered, we need new socks.
Oh, come on—socks! My table needs a new decoration
. Bring on those cute little chickens!
And then some little caps for the eggs and flowers for the table.
Oh, how lovely it’ll be, my Easter breakfast table.
Now I just need an Easter arrangement.
A quick peek in the closet to check my leftovers.
Pink, green, yellow, white: exactly what I’m looking for
.
Or should I crochet a shawl with those colors instead?
A really colorful stole would definitely be a hit, too—I have plenty of yarn, so let’s get to it.
Of course, a colorful stole for the Easter
walk,
and the Easter Bunny comes along on a scooter. I wonder what the Bunny will bring me this year?
I hope I can manage...
...to gently and quietly convince him
to bring me new yarn—heaps of it...
and to do it secretly, quietly, and discreetly.
But then my basket would be too small.
Ah, I know—I’ll make a new one; that’ll hold a lot.
By the time I have all that, Easter will be over
. But I don’t care.
It’s all about taking part—I’ll get started right away...
And I’ll just use the yarn that was meant for the thick scarf.
