That’s lovely, Inge! Yes, the cowslips have been blooming in our garden for a while now, too. Wild garlic is growing right next to them.

Doll clothes are great to knit from scraps. With this clothing set, you can dress a small doll (approx. 35–40 cm tall) from head to toe. Every doll mom’s heart will skip a beat when you give it to her as a gift.

It’s still cold out, and the dolls are getting cold too. You can knit this warm jumpsuit for dolls of various sizes—from 35 to 46 cm. Colorful leftover yarn is more than enough for this, and you’ll have a lovely gift for a doll mom—for Easter or just because.

The jumpsuit is knitted from the top down with raglan shaping, so it has no seams.

Veronika, it’s exactly the same here. One storm after another is sweeping through, and it’s very wet—even though it’s about 16 degrees. We’ve even had the first thunderstorms already.

Yes, Yolanda, that’s how I understand it too. We’re talking about the sleeves here, and they’re decreased in a way that creates a slant. The lower sleeves are narrower than the upper ones.

So that definitely means on both sides.

What a brilliant idea, Petra! We also have a shrub like that, which we decorate with eggs, and they’ve gotten so faded by now that they’re barely visible. For next year, I’m going to crochet them with colorful leftover yarn, too. Awesome!! Thanks!

Marlies, that’s a good idea to start with Karl 1. I’m sure you can do it. Well, there’s always a reason to buy new yarn. You’re sure to find the right one. Of course, it’s a bummer when you’ve finished Patch 1 and have to unravel everything again. But that’s just how it goes—you want it to turn out right, after all. By the way, thanks to the Karls, I’ve actually grown to like knitting garter stitch. I didn’t really like it that much before.

My Patch doll clothes are growing too… so it’s a matter of trying things out every now and then… and studying.

Andrea, I just admired the finished bag in the gallery. You’re so fast, and someone’s going to be thrilled with this bag.

I fully agree with the opinions expressed here—I’m right on the same page as you. Protecting our own children should always be a top priority—even here. There are a lot of shady characters out there on the internet, and children shouldn’t be exposed to any risk.

For example, I would never even think of posting photos of my grandchildren here, even if their parents allowed it (which, thankfully, they don’t). Their well-being is extremely important to me.

There are also mannequins available in children’s sizes. That’s a great idea.

Inge, you’re the same with fabric as I am with yarn. There’s no way it’s getting any smaller—any gaps that open up are filled right back up.

You’ve really put together another lovely package and can spread some joy.

Katrin, I’m already really excited to see your finished Karl. It’s sure to look absolutely great. A new skein for the last few meters? Maybe you can make do with some leftover yarn in a similar color? Or you could knit something else with the new skein.

At least that’s how I envision making them. Everything’s possible, from doll skirts to kids’ skirts. You know I like it when there’s plenty of variety.

Today I’m still enjoying the birthday cake and the gifts. They made me especially happy, because what could be better than a gift basket full of homemade treats? It has everything—from jams to vegetable broth, pickled cucumbers, elderberry syrup, chocolate spread (made from my recipe), and even fruit dipped in chocolate. A bottle of Piccolo sparkling wine tops it all off. I’m sooo happy!
