I also wish everyone here a wonderful weekend. Winter is returning here too—it’s raining and it’s supposed to get cooler. So I’m going to cozy up with some yarn and knitting needles.
I’d also like to wish everyone a wonderful weekend!
And yes, it looks the same here—the weather’s supposed to get gloomy again. But as long as there’s enough yarn in the house, nothing can go wrong.
Plus, I’m going to start the first phase of spring cleaning, very slowly and carefully. 🤣
Oh yeah, the time change… that was supposed to be abolished two years ago, wasn’t it?
That’s right, Veronika, we’ve been promised it, and as so often, it gets forgotten and pushed aside.
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend, and make yourselves cozy at home, because the weather really isn’t good for going out.
I’m sewing—this time, a hooded sweat jacket for myself.
Here’s to a relaxing, cozy weekend for everyone with all your favorite yarns, plus a cappuccino, coffee, tea, etc.—head to the couch and put your feet up.
That’s what I’ll be doing, too—I have the day off.
And I’ll slowly get used to the time change. I don’t need it.
Weather-wise, things aren’t looking too great here for the next few days—more like wet and cold.
I HATE the time change! I always have. It always messes with my internal rhythm. And by the time I’ve finally adjusted internally, the next time change is already coming up. It’s all about money again, blah blah blah. It’s unhealthy and drives people and animals crazy.
I know you’re all looking forward to longer daylight hours (is that what it’s called??? Darkness—daylight, that just sounds weird). But we live in this new development so close to each other that I’m already annoyed at the thought of everyone sitting outside for ages and chatting away again. You have to imagine it like sitting in a café in the pedestrian zone—that’s how close it is. You can hear every word—it’s really loud. It used to bother me before, but since going through menopause, I’ve become even more sensitive to it, which is strange because my hearing has gotten much worse. Oh well.
Daylight saving time isn’t going to be abolished any more than there’s going to be a ban on fireworks on New Year’s Eve. And yet the latter would be even more important for nature.
Hi, I’m back from vacation and now have to adjust to a 2-hour time difference.
I just spent two weeks in the Canary Islands with great weather—sun, wind, and water—and a one-hour time difference. Now that I’m back, I have to adjust to that hour again plus the time change here. I’m turning into a heavy sleeper.
But I hope the EU will soon agree on a single time zone so we can stop having to adjust the clocks.
Yeah, this time change is starting to get on my nerves, too.
I could barely get out of bed this morning.
It’s kind of interesting, though.
If—without the time change—it were decided that next week everyone would have to start work, school, etc., an hour earlier, it would surely end in total chaos.
But when the clock says at 5:00 a.m. that it’s already 6:00 a.m. and it’s time to get up, suddenly everyone has to manage it.
Well… Maybe it’ll change someday. In the distant future.
