My middle daughter is sick—she has a middle ear infection…
So it’s perfect that she really wants to learn how to knit 😊—that’s a great way to make good use of her time ❤️
Wishing the girl a speedy recovery—middle ear infections are really unpleasant. It’s great that she wants to learn to knit; my granddaughter learned it at that age too.
Oh, how cute—those little colorful needles. And look how focused she is. If she sticks with this hobby, you’ll always have company while you knit. Get well soon to your sweet little one.
Oh, what a lovely picture—what a joy for you when one of your children wants to learn to knit. I also think the colorful needles are great; they fit little hands perfectly.
How old is your middle daughter? I certainly hope she gets well soon. She has one advantage right now: she gets to stay home with Mom. That’s always good for little kids. It’s the same with my granddaughters.
@Monika: She’s 8 ❤️
The little one—6—can already knit with her fingers, at least 😊
Yeah, the needles are cute 😊
There are little cat heads on the stoppers—they’re specially made for kids 😂
Circular needles are still too much for her because of the cable; straight needles are really long…and since I couldn’t find anything (all the corks had gone to kindergarten just before) that I could have put on needles from a set of double-pointed needles, I bought her these.
Wow, so you’ll have two girls knitting with you right away. That’s great! I’ll look into getting some knitting needles—that would be perfect for my granddaughter, too. She’s 7 and has already started knitting at her Waldorf school. I learned how to knit back then using a knitting dolly; I thought it was great, and it made lots of long ribbons.
Spool knitting is always a hit with my kids, too 😊
I used to do it quite a lot as a kid, too, making rugs and scarves for my stuffed animals and dolls 😂
Get well soon, little one! As a kid, I used to get middle ear infections every now and then (once even during summer vacation in the mountains!) and I didn’t find it funny at all! Great photos—I miss that kind of focus on knitting from “my” students (4th grade), and most of them lack a certain level of fine motor skills, which doesn’t make things any easier!
