Help with a knitting pattern

Hi everyone,
I hope someone can help me out. I’m stuck on the sleeves—or rather, the sleeve caps—of my coat project. The pattern says:
on every 2nd row, bind off 1x4 sts, 1x3 sts, 1x2 sts, and 10x1 st; on every 4th row, decrease 3x1 st; and then back to every 2nd row, bind off 1x2 sts.
But it doesn’t say anything about doing this on both sides…? Based on the shape, I think it should be done that way… Also, this part and “10x1M”? I don’t quite understand that either… Help, please

I’m also assuming it’s on both sides, Yolanda.
10 x 1 st = I would bind those off using the same pattern as the previous stitches.

Yes, Yolanda, that’s how I understand it too. We’re talking about the sleeves here, and they’re decreased in a way that creates a slant. The lower sleeves are narrower than the upper ones.

So that definitely means on both sides.
