Carmen, your selection is really great. You didn’t swap much from that huge package. We can look forward to maxtiger’s selection again this week.

Sometimes less is more. Depending on what happens to be in the package at the moment, you might be drawn to more or less yarn. It’s also a bit of a gamble. But of course, everyone tries to take the wishes of the person they’re sending the package on to into account as much as possible.

In any case, the shoes look great, and I’m sure the new yarn will bring you joy, too.

I’d already picked out some patterns for pumpkins last fall, and now I’ve found the perfect yarn in the package 🥰
I want to make myself some sofa socks with the gradient yarn. And the yellow and purple will probably become little flowers. 
The package will be on its way again tomorrow if the gas station accepts it; otherwise, on Monday.

Hi Ines,
I always find it especially nice when you’ve had an idea in mind for a while and then the yarn just happens to come your way. The pumpkin will surely look magnificent in this rich yellow. Add a green leaf and a few crocheted tendrils, and you’ve got a pretty fall decoration.

It’s definitely fun to work with the mottled yarn, too. It’s not a solid color at first glance, and you’re always so excited to see how the yarn unfolds with the pattern.

I’m so excited for the package 😍
I’ve already checked the tracking info and requested email notifications.... So I can “step in” in time if they can’t find my house again 🙈—it wouldn’t be the first time.... You see, my house doesn’t show up on the GPS 😁🤷—the driver has to look for it themselves. There are only 7 houses in this “area”… Luckily, it’s not vacation season right now; otherwise, it would be almost impossible to get packages delivered here without any hassle or phone calls....
I’ll keep you posted.😂

I’ve used up some of my haul (pink fluffy yarn)....

It’s arrived..... 
And I was just able to take a nice, relaxed yarn bath....
Here are my treasures... 

The “super chunky” will become a sleeping bag for Grandma Cat, so hopefully I’ll get my pillowcase back 🙈
The gray wool yarn is finally going to become Ina’s felt slippers, which I’ve been planning for so long. 
I just couldn’t resist the lace yarn 😍 I’ll add another color or two of the “Soft Alpaca” to my cart with my next yarn order; it’s a dream 
And the Bobbel is a very fine cotton yarn, 150g/630m 😁 it will definitely become a summer shawl... Denim colors are just perfect for summer.

Yes, Steffi, I also crocheted a cute shawl and a tunic from that yarn cake. Both are really comfortable to wear.

Seriously? Was it too “thin” for you???? It already feels so wonderfully soft. It’ll definitely be a joy to knit with. I already have a vague idea for what to make with this yarn....
But first, I need to finish knitting the sleeve of my jacket, and then it’s Grandma Cat’s turn—she needs something warm and soft... At 14 years old, she deserves it. 

Yeah, I don’t really know what to do with some of this thin yarn. I recently started making some sofa socks for my little girl, too. I had a hard time with those as well. The first one is finished, but I’m just not feeling motivated to work on the second one right now. 🙈

Okay.... This yarn calls for really airy patterns....

Steffi, you’ve put together a great selection—this chunky yarn is a dream! I once found it in a swap package too, in a dark purple, and I even had enough to make a blanket, so I think your cat will be very cozy. The other yarns are also very nice, and this “Soft Alpaca” is absolutely gorgeous.

Yes, it’s a christening gown… it’s been sitting here for a while, safely tucked away, wrapped in tissue paper, inside a cardboard box, waiting for someone who might “need” it. I haven’t washed or blocked it yet…
If anyone would like to “have” it, I’d have to wash and block it anyway… 

....today the package finally set off again....
It was actually supposed to go out on Thursday. I received a container of firewood delivered by truck, and guess where they dumped it... yep, right in the driveway, and my car was parked in the yard 😲😤😲
At least I had to hurry to “clear it away”—after all, the package is eagerly awaited....

So, the package has been dropped off; Petra will be getting mail soon. With plenty of tape, everything’s held together nicely 🤣. I hope the photo turns out okay.
Lila Lima: will probably become a baby blanket. The yarn from hobbii will go into Christmas decorations (it won’t be long now—I’m already tinkering 😚), and all the colorful leftovers will add some flair to the big blanket I’m planning.

…by the way…the nice lady at the post office told me that they don’t like accepting packages that are completely covered in tape…it reflects during laser scanning and then has to be processed manually…just FYI…the package really does look pretty wild now…as if it’s been on a long journey across the world and through time…hihi! 📦 

....for the last swap package, someone actually calculated the “traveled” kilometers 🙈—it really wasn’t a small number, so it’s almost like a trip around the world....

What a beautiful, colorful selection.  I haven’t been in the mood to write much lately, but I’ve been following the whole project. I’m glad that the yarn I contributed has found a new home each time. It’s really interesting to see where everything ends up. Now I’m curious to see what everyone creates with it.

Hello, dear friends,

The swap package has now made its way back to me. Almost all of the yarns I sent off on the journey have found a new home. But they did have 9 chances to do so. I liked these yarns here; I don’t have any specific plans for them in mind yet, though. For now I just think they’re pretty (colorful). First I need to knit or crochet a small swatch with each of the colorful yarns to see how they work up. The 2 thick balls of gradient yarn will surely become turtleneck cuffs for felted slippers someday.



Dear Petra (Petra-Perle), at the end of the participant list, also put a few gifts into the package for me, which I was very happy about. Maybe some of you know this wonderful book of hers:



It is a colorful, creative book with lots and lots of colorful grannies, all provided with a crochet chart. It really lets your imagination unfold. And there are also many pictures by Petra herself in the book. So it’s well worth asking to receive this book as a gift.

And then I also received 3 tubes of buttons: in a beautiful red, ball buttons in bronze, and ivory-colored ones. Unfortunately, I don’t have a photo of them for you now. In any case, I’ll use the red buttons for lovely summer sewing projects. Thank you so very much, Petra, for these wonderful surprises! I really was very happy about them :-)) They are real treasures!
