Sabine, I especially liked the colorful yarn because it has a high percentage of virgin wool, and I also love the color. I’m sure you’ll make something really beautiful out of it for your granddaughter, and she’ll love snuggling up in it.

Sabine, you’ve made a lovely selection. I’m glad my colorful yarn found a new home so quickly. I got it myself from a swap package, but it wouldn’t have been enough for my own projects. So I passed it along.

I was also tempted by the white and purple yarn, but since I don’t have a use for it right now, I dutifully passed it on. Lucky for you.

Katja, I was actually going to suggest this solution to you as well. I do the same thing as Ina, and we’ve now worn our felt slippers for three winters in a row without them getting any holes. They’ll surely last another four years or more. I’m totally thrilled with the leather soles—and so is my husband.

The sock yarn is just my color. It’ll probably end up as a “Winter Karl,” which I want to knit with sock yarn. I just really like red. But there’s another type of sock yarn in the package now.

I’m finally enjoying the balcony—with my knitting, of course. It’s too windy for me in the garden today; my yarn would just blow away on its own. 

Bobble yarn is perfect for knitting a jacket for toddlers (sizes 86–92). You can also use leftover yarn very effectively for the stripes. You can then knit a matching hat to go with it. The jacket has no seams.

Thanks, dear Ina. Of course I’ll show you here what I made with the colorful yarn. The funny thing is that this yarn was right on top and immediately caught my eye. I could have saved myself the trouble of going through the others. By the way, I tried out three boxes, so I was able to examine every skein closely while packing. In the end, I packed everything back into the original box. It’s almost a miracle that it lasted this long.

Margitta, I’m glad you were able to get everything done. I know what’s involved—I’m still right in the middle of it myself. Yes, the colorful yarn is perfect for a baby boy. I’ve usually only knitted for girls before.

Well, my dears, the big yarn package arrived at my place today, and I opened it right away. An incredible selection. This time, I didn’t keep much for myself, and I don’t know yet what I’ll make with it. But these skeins of yarn told me they want to stay.




The colorful yarn will most likely become baby clothes for my Julian. I swapped the sock yarn for another one I had.

Now the package has already set off on its journey again—to maxtiger (Ines). After that, Woll-Bine has something to look forward to.

I tried to swap out the box, but unfortunately I don’t have that size in stock. So I secured the box properly again with more packing tape. There’s a lot of beautiful yarn inside, including some thick yarn. The next recipients have something to look forward to.

That’s really a great idea. At my last wedding 31 years ago, I wore a two-piece outfit—top and bottom. It actually still fits me and is even back in style. :)

Just a quick note about the new turquoise yarn. Now I know what I’ll make with it. I’ve fallen in love with the new Karlos pattern and already started knitting it today—with this very yarn. Patch 1 is almost done. I’ve paired it with beige for now as a contrasting color. More sock yarn is on its way and will arrive on Saturday. It’s a mix of orange and pink. I’ll show it to you when I get it. I managed to snag one more skein of the hand-dyed yarn—this time, light turquoise. I’m already excited to see how the Karlos jacket will turn out. What I enjoy most is the color combination, which I always decide on the spot for each patch.

Wow, dear Alexander, what a moving statement! It really touches me deeply. Thank you so much for your words, and to you and the entire CP team for your tireless work behind the scenes.

Yes, it truly is a pleasure for me to be part of this wonderful community. We’ve grown together, and this sense of community—which is unique to me and something I haven’t found anywhere else—has become more and more familiar. It’s even led to personal friendships.

As an author, I also feel very much at home here; other platforms haven’t tempted me to become active there so far. It’s simply fun to present my own ideas here and make customers happy. Seven years ago, I wouldn’t even have dreamed of this, and now it’s part of my colorful everyday life.

I haven’t had much time for it lately, but I’ve cast on a matching shawl for Karl for my friend using some leftover yarn. I can keep knitting on it while I’m traveling. I just can’t go anywhere without my needles and yarn—it’s impossible for me.

Look, I managed to snag some gorgeous sock yarn—hand-dyed—in my swap group. I don’t know exactly what I’ll make with it yet, but I already have an idea. The yarn is incredibly soft.

Oh my goodness, Petra! I’ve been there with experiments like that. It’s better to just rip it out and start over. Then it’ll turn out perfect. That yarn would also work well for a summer top, though.
