Thanks, Josefa. I also wish everyone here a lovely, sunny weekend. I’ll finally be able to enjoy the garden, since it’s supposed to get really nice and warm. Of course, I’ll be bringing my knitting and a good book along.
Oh, strawberry cake... hmmmm :-) Dear Monika, I’m just going to come visit you!
We’re also having a gardening weekend this weekend. Tomorrow, the young vegetable plants we’ve been growing in the warm greenhouse will be moved outside. It’s planting day. We’ll dig out large planting holes and fill them with compost, nettles, and good soil. Every tomato, cucumber, and bell pepper plant is sure to thrive there.
On Sunday, my husband is going fishing and I have the day “off.” So I can devote myself entirely to my knitting and crocheting projects in peace. And since Monika has given me the idea, I think I absolutely MUST have some strawberry cake too! But the strawberries in our garden aren’t ripe yet, and I don’t like buying them from anywhere else. Let’s see what I can find.
Today I prepared 4 batches of bread dough, which I’ll bake one after the other tomorrow morning. Tomorrow at noon, we’ll have a big celebration at my little daughter’s place. The forecast calls for good weather with sunshine—we hope it turns out that way.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
Yes, the weather’s supposed to be really nice—finally. Though the last few days here have already been pretty decent, just a bit chilly.
Since I don’t have much to do each day with the temperature blanket, I’m going to start working on my birthday yarn now. I’ve already printed out a pattern for a light, airy lace sweater, done my gauge swatch—now I just need to do a little math to make sure it’s my size, and then I’ll get started. And I’ll be learning something new, too, because so far I have no idea what “foot-loop double crochets” are, but the pattern includes instructions.
I’d also like to wish everyone a wonderful weekend. We’ll be at home as usual, doing some crafts.
I had to rip out a bit of my jacket today because I spotted a mistake further down, and I didn’t want to leave it—because once you know where something like that is, you always see it and get annoyed that you didn’t fix it when you still had the chance, so I’ll just keep knitting away :-) One of my nephews once said this after seeing his grandma with her knitting a few times in a row. He said that whenever someone asked him, “What’s Grandma doing?” he’d always just say, “Knitting, knitting” :-)))
