Today, here are a few crochet patterns for anyone who has some black yarn at home:

Doesn’t the black cat look mysterious, the way it looks at you with its glowing eyes? If you have about 60 g of black cotton yarn and some toy stuffing at home, you can get started right away! You’ll only crochet single crochet stitches, and the pattern explains row by row when to increase or decrease. There’s also a chart you can follow.

People aren’t exactly thrilled when a mole appears in the garden, but a crocheted mole in the living room is a whole different story! After all, these little creatures are actually very cute. You can crochet Poldi the Mole using chenille yarn, which makes him velvety soft and cuddly (left picture), or you can choose the tried-and-tested cotton yarn (e.g. Catania) as shown in the picture on the right. You’ll need 20–25 g of yarn for one mole.

You’ll also need black yarn for the bats with glowing eyes. A small leftover is enough for one bat. The bats are attached to an LED string light and will light up your patio on a summer night, or you can use them as window decorations for Halloween.
