For a romantic tea time for two: the “Tea for 2” placemat. Thanks to the airy filet technique, which consists only of double crochet and chain stitches, you’ll finish it in no time. A chart is provided for the pattern. But if you prefer to work from written instructions, you’ll also find the pattern written out row by row.
The placemat measures approximately 50 x 35 cm. For one set, you’ll need about 55 g of cotton in the main color and a small scrap for the border.

It gets even more romantic when you decorate the table with tea lights. These star-shaped holders for LED tea lights are also quick to crochet. You can make them in colors that match the placemat. For one tea light holder, you’ll need about 10 g of cotton yarn.
