Yes, the weather is actually supposed to be pretty good; it’s already sunny and dry today, just not very warm yet (but that’s actually just fine for a small south-facing balcony—otherwise, you’d get too hot out there).
So it’s actually perfect weather for being outside, but my husband is feeling too sluggish for that right now. Oh well, there are still a few days left; otherwise, I’ll just take a little stroll in the fresh air on my own.
The temperature blanket doesn’t care whether it’s raining or sunny—it’s bravely waiting for new colors once it gets warmer.

Thank you very much—I wish the same for everyone.
With this wonderful weather, it’s a great time to relax and enjoy yourself.

The sun is shining here—lovely. Finally outside in the garden without a thick jacket. The roses are blooming beautifully here right now. More and more are opening up every day. 

Frankfurt’s Palmengarten—great. That’s still on my to-do list for a visit.

It’s sunny here, but still quite chilly. We can’t sit outside because the neighbor’s giant schnauzer barks at anything that moves.

Marlies, don’t you have any earplugs? Or some music? That’s what I do when the kids (four of them, and very energetic) are too loud for me—that way I can still enjoy my patio. 

I wish you all a lovely, relaxing weekend. Here by the Danube, it’s so windy that, despite the sunshine, I’m making myself comfortable on the couch with my knitting.

Here in Cologne, we have a bright blue sky, 23 degrees, and no wind. It’s already really warm out on the balcony—warm enough for shorts and a tank top. But I’ve noticed that I get sunburned very quickly, even with sunscreen, so I’m heading back inside for now.

Petra, that’s a giant Schnauzer—and she sure does have a huge snout...😒

Here in Leinebergland, we’re enjoying glorious sunshine and 23 degrees.
It would be perfect for enjoying the garden… but unfortunately, there’s been the noise of a brush cutter all afternoon 😒.
So off I go with my Bobbel to the couch. 

Here in Franconia, the sky is bright blue and it’s quite windy…and yes, people are mowing like crazy here, too. So I recommend Reinhard Mey’s song on Y..Tube, “Some idiot is always mowing somewhere” 🤣🤣

Ever since I learned that song, I can’t help but smile whenever I hear lawn mowers, trimmers, and the like in the neighborhood…😂 

Now I have to smile a little. I spent the first 53 years of my life living in the very heart of various big cities. For the past 12 years, we’ve been living on the very outskirts of Cologne, and I find it pleasantly quiet here—even with lawn mowers or the neighbor’s dog; that doesn’t stop us from sitting outside. We even used to sit outside in the city center, with cars honking, trams squeaking, and police sirens every 10 minutes or so—if not more often.

Silvia, what’s that line from the Franconian song? ;-) **“The air is fresh and pure”**, and a little wind doesn’t bother a Franconian, does it? :-)

Veronika, I live about 75 m from a busy highway and am used to quite a bit😉 I just find it funny that when one neighbor starts mowing, everyone else jumps right in too… What I find more annoying is the constant barking of the new neighbors’ retriever—I totally get where Marlies is coming from. 

Yeah, Inge, a little breeze really does feel good… I’m glad it’s not (yet) scorching hot. There definitely wouldn’t be any wind then 😂

Well, we’re all mowing the lawns here—we have to, since spring was very wet, so everyone’s taking advantage of the few dry moments we have. But at least that way, everyone will be done at the same time.

You’re right, Veronika! The grass really “shot up” once it finally got dry and warm.
