Last night we had a crisp -15 degrees. 🥶 Now there’s bright sunshine at “only” -10 degrees.

The snow has taken a break for now, so I’m heading out to dig out the sidewalk. In some spots, my 30-cm-high boots were just barely tall enough. By now, the snow is heavy and sticky. Shoveling makes my arms feel longer and longer, and my back is singing arias.
My neighbor said that our Netto and Edeka were closed starting at 2 p.m. The bakery was closed, too.

Let’s see how things look tomorrow.

"Elli" has us completely in its grip. The storm has died down a bit, but it’s snowing nonstop and it’s freezing cold.
You’re sitting inside in the warmth, thinking to yourself, “You wouldn’t send a dog out in this,” when the doorbell rings. A delivery person, bundled up thickly, brought a small package. She got a big thank-you and a tip for her trouble.
The streets aren’t plowed, the weather’s terrible, but the delivery people have to go out anyway—after all, there could be complaints.

How are things where you are?

We had to do a lot of snow shoveling here today. This morning there was about 15–20 cm. It’s been snowing again since noon, so I’ll probably have to shovel a third time to make sure we don’t end up with half a meter tomorrow. The snowplow has already gone through twice and keeps diligently pushing the snow back onto the sidewalk...😡

I can only agree with Mel on this. Your work and presentations speak for themselves. You don’t need to use AI.

To me, AI images are a misrepresentation of reality!
As a buyer, you’re lured in by a pretty photo and can’t possibly recreate it that way. To me, that’s practically fraud.

So much happens in colorful October. We have the holiday, harvest season with Thanksgiving, Halloween, and lantern season is starting...
So it’s definitely time for a new game, don’t you think?
I’ll start with the

apple harvest.

I saw this cute little “biker” again today. He’s always out and about with his owner.

The little guy doesn't have a sweater. He's always sitting there shivering, waiting for his owner to come back.

I knitted a suit with a shirt and a hat for Timmi.
The shirt is made from swapped yarn; the suit and hat were once socks I’d started but never finished.
