Dear Community,
Are you busy with your yarn projects—and in real life, too? Have fun crafting

Umm, nooo, I’m lazy—nothing to do. Well, I did clean the aquarium, but other than that, nothing.
In real life, everything’s going according to plan, everything’s taken care of, the place is tidy, no disasters—perfect.
In my knitting life, it’s a break day for the Mystery Cal; we’ll pick it up again tomorrow. The walrus is finished; I actually haven’t started anything else. I’m going to take my time now and browse through my downloads to see what I might feel like working on.

I’m focusing on getting my walking pneumonia under control as best I can. There’s a cut-out winter coat lying on my sewing table, and it has been there for days. It will stay there even longer, just like the men’s cardigan; I’m no use for anything

Best, Inge

Oh, Inge, that’s so mean. Good thing fabric and yarn don’t go bad. Get well soon—then your craft projects will be even more fun. So, I hope you get better soon!

My neighbor gave me some apples. Lots of apples. Now I have to figure out how to use them up. We had apple pie over the weekend. Yesterday I made some more applesauce. Tomorrow I’m going to make dried apple rings.

But I also have to do something creative—otherwise I’ll get in a bad mood. The other day I sewed myself two winter dresses. I wrote a blog post about it, but I haven’t published it yet. You’re welcome to take a peek. The pattern is fitted and has bust darts.

Best wishes, Ina

Today I’m continuing with my next RVO project.
A technician is coming this afternoon to check out a few radiators that aren’t working properly.

I’m in the middle of a knitting frenzy—I still have a few baby booties to finish for my Christmas market booth. All my other unfinished projects have to take a back seat! Other than that, just housework—boring stuff. Today I mended a favorite sweater for a friend’s daughter. It looks pretty good now.

I’m sending you get-well wishes too, Inge.

Ina, your winter dresses look great.

I’m still crocheting the doll on commission for a coworker. But I’m not making much progress right now because of my late shift—I can’t get any crafting done then.
Other than that, I’m doing a little beadwork for Christmas and making cards.

@ Inge Get well soon. Take it easy and rest up.

@ Ina Your clothes are great. If they were in a store, they’d end up in my shopping cart.

Hi there, crafty friends—have a wonderful evening, everyone.

I took a few days off, and yay, the crochet order is finally finished. I quickly snapped a photo.
Ta-da! May I introduce Püppi Langstrumpf. (It was a crochet kit.)

Andrea, your little doll turned out great. Is Little Old Man next?

We were out biking the other day, and I saw some white horses with spots and immediately thought of Pippi. Those were such good times with her back then.....

Thank you, dear Petra. No, no more “Little Old Man”. I crocheted this little doll for a coworker because she can’t quite manage it herself. She’s not staying with me—the doll has already moved on.
Someday I might crochet a “small” one for myself.  Yes, I always enjoyed watching Püppi, too—it was a fun time back then.
Now I can get back to crafting for myself. My crochet shawl is still waiting to be finished, my mini Grinch still needs a face… and I still have some paper and bead crafts to tackle. So I won’t be getting bored.

Mini Grinch—how cute. I can’t wait to see a picture.

I really like this little green guy; I haven’t made one yet, though.

I’m finishing more Tatüta projects every day—but with my fabric stash, it’s just a drop in the bucket.

Here’s my Grinch in the meantime—that was the only green I had on hand.
Following a video tutorial, I also crocheted this little Christmas doily and edged it with glittery yarn.

Only in real life—the world of yarn has to wait a bit for now. We’ve had our basements re-insulated, so everything had to be moved out. Now it’s time to give everything a thorough cleaning and then put everything back in place. It’s no fun, but there’s no getting around it.

Sweater number 2 is finished; now I’m knitting the one for Lilly. All three are made from sock yarn that I found very cheaply at Lidl.
Lilly’s sweater will be a tad smaller than the ones for Steffi and Rika, since she’s only about 47/48 cm tall.

Best regards, Inge

Luckily, I don’t have to clean out or unclutter the basement… so I get to sew! Just a quick task on the computer first, and then off to the sewing room.

I just cut out the pieces for a girl’s dress with pockets for my 3 1/2-year-old granddaughter.

I found this fabric remnant with the little glittery elves in my swap group. It’s a not-too-thick alpine fleece fabric with a very soft, fluffy backing.

Warm regards and have a wonderful day, everyone—Ina

Keller is finished, and there was a matching pattern in the Advent calendar today, so I got right to work. And now I just have one more wish to fulfill—a little reindeer—which I’ll finish tomorrow.

Yes, I certainly am.

I’m busy sewing for the hedgehogs in my crafting world, and in my spare time, I’m really enjoying reading right now.

I’m knitting socks for my brother and painting stones that will be a gift for my friend. All my projects are still a work in progress. It’s still very frosty and slippery outside, so I’m holding off on going out. Time for crafts and the computer!

Best, Ina

Drumroll... I’ve already knitted one thumb today. A 👽 UFO that’s been sitting in the box since at least October. Now I just need to finish the second thumb.

I’m continuing to work on my mosaic blanket (which I started last year but had to put on hold).
I’m halfway done.
The color combination isn’t quite my style, but these are leftover skeins from a swap package.

Today I started leg warmers in black 6-ply sock yarn—something my daughter had been asking for. I also still have a baby washcloth (DF) on the needles—just a few more rows to go, which I’ll knit tonight. More projects are waiting in my knitting basket for the finishing touches!

Oh, Andrea, those are three lovely warm colors that go really well together. It has a very oriental-style look. I can’t wait to see the final result. So far, I really like it.

Best wishes, Ina
