Weaving in ends: right away or later?

Dear users, dear authors,
how do you handle this?
Do you always weave in all the ends right away, or do you wait until the end?
Let me know.

Neither :D
I weave in the ends as I go. I do this especially with larger projects, because I’m the kind of knitter/crocheter who likes to finish a row before stopping. I don’t like having to stop in the middle, and if I’m short on time to finish a row, I weave in the ends that are already there.

If I have loose ends in the middle of a project, I crochet or knit them right into the work.

I weave in the ends at the end of the project.

I also crochet in everything I can.

I weave in ends every now and then in between, so there isn’t so much to do all at once at the end :)

But with gradient yarn cakes, for example, you have the advantage that you only have to weave in 2 ends.

If possible, I crochet or knit the ends in right away.
Long tails at the beginning or end are used for sewing pieces together or crocheting.

If I’m sure I won’t have to unravel anything, I’ll sometimes weave in the ends before the piece is completely finished—but only if the timing works out.

It always depends on the project. With small pieces, the threads bother me too much, so I weave in the ends as quickly as possible.
Otherwise, I do what most people here do: I crochet the threads into the work or save them to sew the pieces together later.

I love using up my leftover yarn in larger projects, and sometimes that results in a lot of loose ends. That’s why I always weave in the ends right away. I know myself—if I have a mountain of loose ends to weave in, the project will sit in the corner forever once it’s bound off, and I’ll just end up politely ignoring it :-)))

Weaving in ends really isn’t my thing, so I always try to design my crochet projects so that there’s as little as possible to weave in :-)
If it can’t be avoided, I crochet the ends right in so that the amount of weaving in is kept to a minimum. And if there’s still anything left to weave in, I do it all at the very end.
I do tend to put off weaving in ends... I’ve got several finished shawls lying around here that just need their ends woven in...

What do you do with the cut-off yarn scraps?
I always save them in a little basket and use them to stuff small items.

For me, it depends on the project... if I’m sure it’ll stay that way, I usually weave in most of the ends as I go... not every single end right away, but rather when it’s “worth it” to dig out the sewing needle. But if I’m not entirely sure whether it should stay that way, I leave the ends hanging until the end. Quite often, I’m almost finished, and only then do I realize that I don’t really like the piece the way it is… that’s when the ends I’ve already woven in are a real disaster—though I’ve had that happen before, too.
