Bikinis for 60 cm BJDs
They’re crocheted from fine cotton yarn; I came up with the pattern and design myself. I wanted the pieces to look realistic.
I love knitting and crocheting for this doll. Even with the finest yarn, you can quickly achieve a beautiful result.

Motif / Title: ’60s Party Outfit
Technique: Crochet
Quick Facts: I crocheted this top from cotton yarn without a pattern
Short story: My 16-year-old niece was invited to a hippie party—she’d scored a pair of orange flared pants at a thrift store and was looking for something to go with them.
This top with a matching little bag is what we ended up with.

Motif / Title: Summer Bag for Kids
Technique: Sewing
Quick Facts: I fell in love with the fabric right away and sewed a summer bag for my granddaughter. Just looking at the bag puts you in a good mood—but my granddaughter doesn’t just look at it; she also uses it when she goes to the ice cream shop with her mom. Inside the bag are her treasures, like little dolls to play with, hair clips, or a picture book.
Short Story (2–4 sentences): My granddaughter loves bags. Last summer, I sewed this bag for her. There’s so much to discover just on the fabric itself that she never gets bored. It’s a real summer bag for kids—just the right size and with great structure. Feel free to make your own—you can find the free sewing instructions on my blog.

Crocheted “feel-good flowers” made from lots of leftover yarn
I spontaneously made lots of different little flowers for my grandson’s kindergarten raffle. I hope they’ll bring a little smile to everyone’s face.
Those little flowers are so cute! How did you attach them to the pots?
Motif: My octopus “Jaques”
Technique: crocheted
Info: Cotton yarn in nautical colors—of course, it has to match the theme
Short story: I saw the octopus in a crochet magazine and fell head over heels in love with it right away! I ordered the magazine immediately and was overjoyed when it arrived. I glanced at the pattern and thought, “Oh dear, this is going to be a real challenge,” but I took it on and worked my way through it row by row. As I went along, it got easier and easier. The six arms really tested my patience, but I stuck with it. And the result is amazing🥰 My friend fell in love with Jaques right away, too. So I crocheted her a slightly smaller octopus and surprised her with it. The surprise was a total success—she was absolutely thrilled. She named it “Lucill,” and it’s her pride and joy, which made me very happy💕 And I crocheted a mini octopus for my boyfriend, too, which he was super excited about. The two of them are now sitting in our bathroom as great decorations.
Motif: A little water / Lots of water
Technique: crochet, knitting
Quick info: Leftover yarn, assorted cotton yarn, freestyle based on various basic patterns
Short story: Hi everyone, I’m Bettina. I’ve only just really noticed the forum and thought I’d give showing something a try too. The little cactus extravaganza was a window decoration in our flower shop, south-facing, for the summer season. It was crazy—people loved it. The jellyfish were supposed to become an underwater window display with other creatures the following year. Unfortunately, that never happened. But the idea is still in my head.
Happy sweating!

Motif: Flamingo
Technique: Crochet
Quick info: “Schrubbelgarn” by Rico, a pattern from an old craft magazine
Short story: I’ve got one more… I crocheted this flamingo for my sister-in-law’s outdoor shower. She loves flamingos!

Hi, I used a small ball of modeling clay (you can find it very cheaply, e.g., at Action), then a thin layer of Styrofoam (from packaging), and finally a terry cloth washcloth (for the potting soil).
Best wishes and have a wonderful weekend ☀️ 🌡️ 🫠
Thanks for the info, and have a great weekend.
Great idea. Unfortunately, I read about it too late because I was on vacation.
