How old would you have to get to use up all your yarn/fabric stash?

Dear community,

Let’s assume you stopped buying yarn and fabric. How long would your stash last, or how old would you have to get before it’s all gone?

Wow, if nothing new were added, I wouldn’t have much time left—maybe two years at most—because I don’t actually have that much in stock. That’s why I’m already looking forward to the Advent calendar again, so the supply never runs out.

wenn ich alles was ich mir irgendwann mal vorgenommen hatte machen wollte und das Material dazu liegen häötte müsst ich 679 Jahhre alt werden, denn Material geht mir eigentlich nie aus, wenn ich keine neuen Stoffe daliegen hätte, würde ich mich an meinem Kleiderschrank bedienen und nur noch das nötigste hängen lassen was ich anziehen könnte ;-) :-)))

Was Wolle angeht könnte ich auf alle Fälle circa 2-3 Jahre aushalten. Bei den Stoffen schaute s anders aus da könnten es noch etwa 4 Jahre hinhalten

Ich kann da nur schätzen. 

Während des 1. Jahres von Corona habe ich über 9 Kg verstrickt und verhäkelt. 

2 Jahre habe ich über 6 Kg verbraucht. 

Die letzten 3 jahre habe ich kein Kg geschafft. 

Nehmt mir meinen Garten und meine Bücher weg, dann hab ich vielleicht noch 2 Jahre Vorrat im Haus. 

Beim Stoff würde ich es wie Inge machen. Aus alten Kleidern, Tisch- und Bettwäsche kann man wunderbare Dinge nähen. 

Kann leider im Moment keine Bilder hochladen - habt ihr auch Probleme damit? 

I’m eagerly awaiting the day I can retire (in 6.5 years) and work through my stash of yarn and fabric. Then I’ll have plenty to keep me busy for another 5–6 years. But that will only work if I don’t buy any more yarn. I inherited the fabric from my mother—she was a seamstress.
