Dear community,

do you currently have lots of scraps / leftover yarn / fabric scraps, or have you nicely used everything up with the scrap-busting patterns from the shop? What do you usually make from / do with your scraps?

Oh yes, I’m actually working with a lot of leftover yarn right now...that’s actually the main part of my yarn mountains in the basement....well, I’ve been crocheting these colorful triangles, triangular granny squares, and then adding a mirror to each one and a frame for the mirror....it looks pretty cute, and the leftover yarn is slowly dwindling.....very slowly, I have to say :) 😛🌸

I’m also trying to whittle down my stash.

My stash is slowly shrinking, but I’m still a long way from my goal.

I still can’t fit everything in my closets, but there are already significantly fewer boxes lying around.

Right now, I have to really exercise self-control not to buy anything new and to stick to using up what I have.

I crocheted a bandana from some leftover yarn. I still need to weave in the ends, and I’m going to crochet a nice border around it. I’ll have some kids over soon—they’re always happy to get something crocheted. So I’m going to crochet a few more colorful bandanas from my leftovers.

I also knitted this little scarf from leftover yarn (25 g). Even though it’s very hot right now, the scarf is a great little in-between project for using up my leftovers.

I’m currently working with leftover yarn—we live in a small space, and my two little cabinets are overflowing. So it’s time to use up my yarn leftovers.

I hope you all have a wonderful time crafting.

Best regards, Sabine

I was assigned June for a blog hop. What could be more fitting than strawberries? So I chose a yarn from my stash—80 meters per 50 grams—and designed a strawberry appliqué. A small amount of leftover yarn is all you need for this.

Since you have to crochet everything multiple times when designing a pattern until every row is documented and photographed, I ended up with three in total.

As you can see, I really love strawberry season

What is a blog hop?

A blog hop is a collaborative effort or networking event among several bloggers centered around a specific topic. We then link to each other’s posts.

This one was for an 11th blog anniversary, and every month someone (selected in advance / participation confirmed) writes a blog post on this topic.

These often take place around Halloween, Christmas, and Easter as well.

I use fabric scraps to make baby blankets and play mats that are personalized with the baby’s name
