We love it when the forum is buzzing! Right now we’re seeing so many of you taking your knitting and crochet hooks out into the garden or on vacation – and consciously choosing to knit a stitch instead of scrolling through feeds.

So you can focus completely on your projects (and on chatting in the forum), we’re constantly tinkering with the platform in the background. Today we’d like to take you along and show you: What actually happens on a “completely normal day” at Crazypatterns? Many of you (especially our hardworking designers) sometimes wonder what exactly the commission is used for. Here’s a look at some of today’s improvements and the automated processes running in the background for you.

Our team worked intensively on the code again today to make the platform even more convenient and high-performing for you. This is now live:

• We have further refined the handling of your photos! Originals keep exactly the same quality during processing (without any unwanted rotations).
• The gallery upload for the Creative Feed now runs even more smoothly, as we removed some redundant actions in the background.
• To make conversations in the forum even smoother, new posts now appear without any cache-related delay.
• We have also optimized the sorting (as well as the “Latest Reply” section) ...
• ... and further strengthened the delivery of your notification emails.
