As a grandmother several times over, I know that children also need a little comforter now and then. Then all their worries are forgotten right away, and their attention is completely on what they’re holding in their hands. That’s why you should always have a little supply of such comforters at home. Here are my recommendations for you.

I hope you enjoy looking at them and making them yourself.

Warm regards from Ina

Princess Dress - Knitting Pattern
The dress is so easy to knit and yet makes such a big impression. I especially love this design, and so does my granddaughter.

Doll Fashion, 3 Pieces, Crocheted: Hat, Clutch, Dress
These can be combined beautifully with each other. A friend can join in the play too.

A beautiful colorful blanket is always comforting; you can either play with it or snuggle up under it. This one is crocheted.

Felted Slippers with favorite motifs - these are also cool because no other child has ones like them. And they keep feet warm too.

Winter Cape for Small Dolls

This is quick to knit and brings joy for a long time.

A Water Lily Pillow for the children’s room
It looks lovely and brings joy. There’s only one unique pillow like this. And when it’s handmade by mom or grandma, there’s even more love in it.

Warm One-Step Felted Booties
They make everyone happy. They give you warm feet and are easy to knit. You can also take them along wonderfully when traveling to grandma’s.

Doll Fashion: Ball Gown, Knitted
You can knit a small supply of these too and make every child’s eyes light up.

Ball Gown with Tulle Underskirt
This is already a somewhat bigger comforter, because it is more elaborate to make. The crocheting itself goes quickly, but the no-sew tulle underskirt is a labor of love. But that makes it especially beautiful.

Now that the children have been comforted, here are of course a few suggestions for the grown-ups. What can you use to comfort adults? It doesn't always have to be something big. Sometimes something made with lots of love is enough. And sometimes you have to comfort yourself too and do something good for yourself!

I hope you enjoy these as well.
Warm regards from Ina

A few beautiful wrist warmers for your best friend or for yourself. Maybe you've bought yourself a new winter jacket and still need a pair of matching wrist warmers?

Felted moccasins in all colors and sizes

They are always very well received. If someone has to go to the hospital or to a health retreat, you can give them as a gift. They fit nicely in your luggage, keep your feet warm, and delight the heart and eye.

Heart pendant

This is the classic choice when you want to offer comfort without a lot of words. A heart simply says everything very clearly. You can make it as a keychain or bag charm. I crochet them in advance and give them to dear people who have a difficult task ahead of them. You can always carry them with you as a little comforter.

Cashmere yarn cowl
Yes, I admit, it's an expensive little comforter. But sometimes you need to offer great comfort. For special people in special situations. When someone really has to master something difficult, it feels good to receive something special as a gift. This cuddly-soft, delicate cowl gives a sense of well-being and warmth.

This fun little lucky beetle, which hangs in the kitchen as a splash of color and is always ready to protect your hands from hot pots, is also just the thing to comfort the soul. Even beginners can easily crochet it.

The guardian angel night light offers its comforting light to all children who don’t like falling asleep in the dark. The crocheted angel stands on an LED light that you can control with a remote control. For example, you can set the color and dim the light enough so that it won’t disturb healthy sleep. With its sweet little face, this little angel is an indispensable comforter and bedtime companion.

A teddy bear in your arms brings comfort in many situations. Knuddel, the warming bear  is a very special cuddly toy, because there is room in its belly for a grain pillow. It is warmed in the microwave for a few minutes. This way, Knuddel can warm up the bed on cold nights, or help with tummy aches and tension.

The funny Kasperl quickly distracts from many worries and troubles with his antics. When children see how the hand puppet literally comes to life in your hand, the tears quickly dry and the sorrow is forgotten. Kasperl can be made from leftover yarn and is just the right size for small children’s hands.

The Shades of Understatement shoulder wrap is a cozy soul and shoulder warmer.
It is easy to knit with just 200 g of yarn, the pattern is explained in detail, and it warms more than just the soul.

The Diamant hand warmers are also quick to knit and are a small soul warmer, also really great as a little gift for a friend.
Their small lace pattern makes them look elegant, but they still keep your hands warm.
They are knitted as a rectangle and sewn together at the sides.

My Luftikus cowl gives you a quick success, as it is knitted with just 100 g of yarn. I used lace yarn with cashmere held double and got a lovely cowl that can also be worn on both sides.
It is knitted with a simple pattern that is suitable for beginners.

Flowers with fresh greenery are lovely comforts for the soul, especially during the dark season.

With a little practice, even beginners can easily make the daisies from leftover yarn.

The daisies in the crochet pot are a beautiful eye-catcher as door decor and wall decor, or as decoration on a table, dresser, or shelf, and they instantly put you in a good mood.
Of course, you can also use the little daisies in a small vase or as a mini bouquet on a gift.

Knitting or crocheting to comfort the soul is always a good idea! Because the activity itself already makes you happy. The joy is even greater when I can bring a smile to my own face or someone else's with the finished result! Try it out—it works!
Smaller projects in particular are quickly “conjured up” and therefore quickly effective! Here are a few ideas for you:

This cute washcloth is a wonderful source of comfort or encouragement for children who need a little pick-me-up right now. It’s very quick to knit and is even suitable for ambitious beginners, since it only involves knitting and purl stitches.
