New Knitting Patterns for December + November 28, 29, and 30

Here’s something for the gentlemen. This “Pattern Mix” set consists of a beanie and a scarf that won’t slip. Thanks to an air cushion, the knitting pattern looks as if it were double-knitted.

Even beginners can easily knit this set. Everything is well explained, and there are photos to go along with it.

Do you have a photo of the doll clothes too, Ruth? They must look so cute.

Here are the baby pants I’m currently working on—they still need to grow a little:

Yarn Room: Heavenly Christmas Projects

Here it is—the hooded jacket for my granddaughter. It took a little longer than expected since I didn’t have much time, but it turned out really beautiful.

Now it’s time for the pattern. ;-)

And the next project is already on the needles: a pair of baby pants. Here’s the start of it:

Yarn Room: Heavenly Christmas Projects

@Pe-Ka,

everything you've created looks really great. I also finished the jacket for my granddaughter today. Since I'm pretty busy with work at the moment, I was actually surprised that it's already done, just like that on the side. I'll post a photo tomorrow.

Collaborative Christmas Poem for CP

Woolly Christmas at Crazypatterns

The needles click softly in the cozy room
while in the pot the turnip starts to stew.

The mulled wine on the stove is steaming away,
while the youngest munches cookies all day.

Josefa is looking forward to the tree,
and knits a stocking—can that really be!

And afterward she crochets a blanket too,
the housework gets left, as chores often do.

The apartment smells of cookies so sweet,
on the sofa my kitty is sound asleep.

Despite the mulled wine, the stocking’s nearly done,
but the yarn is poor quality—not much fun.

Oh dear, what should I do with it now?
Unravel it—that keeps me fit somehow.

Josefa can get some help, of course,
from all the helpful CP authors.

Meanwhile she looks for the Christmas baubles bright,
“Which colors are in? I’ll Google that tonight.”

And where are all those lovely crochet stars?
I have an idea: “I’ll make them myself”—gladly, by far.

Quick as a flash, the yarn is already there.
So radiant in yellow, like sunshine in the air.

But where can I get a pattern now?
The answer to that question is not hard somehow.

Looked on Crazypatterns, hooray!
There they are already—on the picture in the snow today

One click—this pattern is the one for me.
I could shout out loud with glee

But what was that? There’s a knock at the door!
Never mind, I have no time for that anymore.

The socks just won’t let me go
There’s another knock! Who is it, though?

Let me in! comes the sound from outside the house
It’s me, of course—Saint Nicholas!!

Oh man, he’s brought the big stocking along
what’s inside it, I wonder? My curiosity is strong!

I’m so curious, I want to know,
mandarins, nuts, and the soft yarn I wished for—I don’t want to miss them, you know.

The yarn comes first, right away.
I hope Santa Claus knows that today.

Expectantly, Josefa opens the door
joyfully grabs the packages and thanks Santa Claus warmly for them all the more.

Which one has the yarn inside?
Oh man, I’m so excited, I can’t hide.

In the first little package is a toaster
then comes an Elvis Presley poster

The yarn must be in here somewhere...
Maybe here? No ... just a beautiful lucky stone there.

No yarn at all? That can’t be right!
Who swiped it—which woolly little sprite?

At last I have found it here.
What joy! I’ll knit it in rounds, my dear!

Praise and thanks be to the Christ Child!
and I’ll make myself cozy on the stove bench for a while.

But Christmas isn’t over yet; someone is standing at the door.
After all, it’s only a quarter to four.

Then the smartphone rings too—who could it be?
Surprise: more yarn is on its way to me :-)

Aunt Auguste arrives with even more little packages.
Where is there still a free corner for all these packages?

After a moment’s thought, it comes to me:
In the kitchen: in the oven! There’s still room, you see!

But—oh dear—now I’ve already found it beforehand:
Someone has hidden something there, just as planned.

There lies a little package with a red bow,
There’s no yarn inside; it smells like soap, you know!

Now mischief is tickling the back of my neck
I’ll just let the whole thing “sink in” a sec

Because soap in the oven isn’t something you find every day.
Does anyone have any questions about that? ;-)

Aunt Auguste is a little surprised,
after all, she’ll soon be 100, age-wise.

A suitable hiding place was found after all.
Meanwhile the knitting needles keep making their rounds through it all.

What do you think—where might this hiding place be found?

Have you bought any yarn or supplies today?

Well, actually… I’d sworn to myself I’d go on a “wool diet” until at least the start of the year. And then, completely unsuspecting, I went to the early Christmas market here in our village last Saturday—it’s called the “Saumarkt” here.

Since there’s never been anything special there, I only put a twenty in my pocket. After all, you never know…

I’m sure you can guess what happened. Right in the middle of it all—for the first time, by the way—there was a yarn booth!!! I thought I wasn’t seeing right!

Well, of course I couldn’t resist; it all looked sooo tempting. And once I had that first ball of yarn in my hand… it just didn’t want to leave me. I immediately knew what I wanted to make with it. And the color next to it… just as beautiful!

And since I didn’t have enough money with me, I rushed home and got some more cash. No distance was too far for me when it came to yarn. I’m sure you know how it is.

The result: these 5 balls absolutely had to come home with me. And they’re already looking forward to getting on the needles :-) :-) and to my grandchildren.

That was my early St. Nicholas Day gift to myself.

This pinafore skirt is a real quick-change artist and a joy for all knitting grandmas and moms. It grows with the child from about 1.5 to 5 years old.

The skirt can also be knitted easily by beginners using the pattern. It is knitted from the bottom up in one piece.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Top 3: The grow-with-me baby pinafore dress

This little pinafore dress also grows with the child, from about 6–18 months. It is also knitted in one piece from the bottom up, and beginners will have a wonderful sense of achievement with it too.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Top 4: The triangle shawl / poncho with lace pattern and waves

red, rose, pink = the girls' thread

These cute leggings not only look great, they’re also extremely practical and even grow with your child. Thanks to the knitting pattern, they fit snugly while still being stretchy enough to accommodate a diaper.

The leggings are knitted in one piece from top to bottom, so they have no seams. Even beginners can easily follow along with the pattern. However, some basic knitting skills are required.

red, rose, pink = the girls' thread

This hat with a shawl collar is very practical for babies and children. It keeps both the head and neck warm without anything slipping out of place. The hat can be buttoned and unbuttoned at the front of the shawl collar. Babies in particular really don’t like having something pulled over their heads. Here’s the solution

The good news: This hat is quick and easy to knit, even for beginners, as I’ve already been told twice. The pattern describes every step. The pattern also includes a size chart for children’s hats.

happily reaches for the packages and thanks Santa Claus warmly for them all.

So which one has the yarn inside?
Oh man, how excited I am, I can't hide.

In the first little package is a toaster
then comes an Elvis Presley poster

The yarn has to be in here somewhere...
Maybe here? No ... just a beautiful lucky stone there.

No yarn at all? That can't be right!
Who pinched it - which woolly little sprite?

At last I've found it, happy and bright.
What joy! I'll knit it in the round tonight!

Praise and thanks be to the Christ Child!
and I'll make myself cozy on the stove bench for a while.

But Christmas isn't over yet; someone is standing at the door.

Colorful and Bright Colors

With this colorful, cozy set of hat and loop scarf, the dreary gray of winter becomes a little more colorful right away.

The set is very easy to knit, even for beginners. Every step is explained in the pattern, mostly with photos.

The stitches create an air cushion and look as if they were double-knitted.

Collaborative Christmas Poem for CP

Woolly Christmas at Crazypatterns

The needles click softly in the warm room
while in the pot, the turnip starts to bloom.

The mulled wine on the stove is steaming too,
while the youngest munches cookies, quite a few.

Josefa looks forward to the tree,
and knits a stocking—can it really be!

And afterward she crochets a blanket too,
while the housework gets left for someone new.

The apartment smells of cookies so sweet,
my kitten sleeps on the sofa seat.

Despite the mulled wine, the stocking’s almost done,
but the yarn is poor quality—not much fun.

Oh dear, what should I do with it now?
Unravel it, that keeps me fit somehow.

Josefa can get help, that’s true,
from all the helpful CP authors too.

Meanwhile she looks for the Christmas balls,
"Which colors are in? I’ll google it," she calls.

And where have all the lovely crochet stars gone?
I’ve got the idea: "I’ll make them myself"—gladly, bring it on.

Quick as a wink, the yarn is already here.
So bright in yellow, like sunshine clear.

But where can I get a pattern from?
The answer to that question is not hard to come by.

Checked on Crazypatterns, hooray!
There they are already—on the picture in the snow, at play

One click—this pattern has to be mine.
For joy I could shout out loud and shine

But what was that? There’s a knock at the door!
Never mind, I have no time for that anymore.

The socks won’t let me go
Then there’s another knock! Who is it, though?

Let me in! comes the sound from outside
It’s me, of course—St. Nicholas!!

Oh man, he’s brought the big stocking along
what’s inside, I really care—it can’t be wrong!

I’m so curious, I want to know,
mandarins, nuts, and the soft yarn I wished for—I don’t want to miss them, oh no.

The yarn comes first, that’s the plan.
I hope Santa Claus knows that, man.

Full of expectation, Josefa opens the door
joyfully reaches for the packages and thanks Santa Claus warmly for them all the more.

So which one has the yarn inside?
Oh man, I can hardly hide my excited side.

In the first little package is a toaster
then comes an Elvis Presley poster

The yarn has to be in here somewhere...
Maybe here? No ... just a beautiful lucky stone there.

No yarn at all? That just can’t be right!
Who swiped it—which woolly sprite?

At last I have found it, safe and sound.
What joy! I’ll knit it in the round!

New in November + patterns from October 29/30/31

New in my shop is this colorful set consisting of a hat and a loop scarf. It’s knitted from a very soft and warm wool blend containing 85% baby alpaca.

What makes it special: The pattern looks like double knitting; it has air pockets that provide extra warmth. It’s also easy for beginners to knit.

The pattern explains every step. There’s a section without photos for printing and a section with photo instructions.

Click here for the knitting pattern for the “Rainbow” set, consisting of a hat and a loop scarf.

This cover for a tissue box with butterflies and hearts is quick to crochet, even for beginners, making it a great Christmas gift. After all, everyone needs tissues.

Of course, the box can be crocheted in any color and adapted to any interior. It looks very decorative anywhere. Whether in a baby’s or child’s room, in the bathroom, restroom, or even on the coffee table.

This adjustable strappy skirt for toddlers is the perfect Christmas gift. It’s quick to knit and grows with your child from about 1.5 to 5 years old—simply because it transforms into a cute little skirt.

The pattern describes all steps in detail and includes step-by-step photos. This makes it easy even for beginners with basic knitting skills to follow along.

The skirt is knitted in one piece from the bottom up and has no seams.

Collaborative Christmas Poem for CP

(small correction - now with a heading...)

Woolly Christmas at Crazypatterns

The needles click softly in the warm room
while in the cooking pot the turnip stews.

The mulled wine on the stove is steaming too,
while the youngest munches cookies through and through.

Josefa is looking forward to the tree,
and knits a stocking - I can hardly believe what I see!

And afterward she crochets another blanket
while the housework gets left by the wayside.

The apartment smells of cookies,
my kitten is sleeping on the sofa.

Despite the mulled wine, the stocking is almost done,
but the wool is second-rate.

Oh dear, what do I do with it now?
Unraveling it, that way I stay fit.

Josefa can get help

Meanwhile she looks for the Christmas ornaments
"Which colors are in? I'll just go google that."

And where are all the beautiful crochet stars?

I looked on Crazypatterns — yay!
There they are already — in the picture, in the snow.

One click — this must be the pattern. I could
scream out loud

with joy. But what was that? There’s a knock at the door!
Never mind, I don’t have time for that right now. I can’t stop thinking about
these socks. There’s that knocking again! Who on earth is it?

“Let me in!” comes the cry from outside. It’s me — St. Nicholas!!

Oh man, he’s brought the big sock with him.

Woolly Christmas at Crazypatterns

The needles click softly in the parlor so snug
while a turnip in the cooking pot bubbles and chugs.

The mulled wine on the stove is steaming away,

Josefa is looking forward to the tree,
and knits a stocking - can that really be!

And afterward she crochets a blanket too
while the housework is left long overdue.

The home is filled with the scent of cookies sweet,
on the sofa my kitty sleeps.

In a flash, the yarn is already there.
So radiant in yellow, like the sun's warm glare.

But where can I get a pattern from?
The answer to that question is an easy one.

Checked Crazypatterns, yippee!
There they are already - in the picture, in the snow

One click - this pattern has to be the one.
