Thanks to Mel, I sometimes use the lifeline method, too. Otherwise, I just use my crochet hook.

April Projects: Great Titles and Nice People

Oh, Sandra, that’s so sweet of you to say. Yes, I’m also very happy to have you all. :)
It’s just more fun together.

It’s only April 2nd, and you’ve already been posting so much here. Great!

Claudia, your UFO bag looks great—very original.

And Marion, your baskets made from scraps are a great idea. They look very original, too. And so do the fruits inside.

I’ve now completely finished the jacket for the baby. I put it on my little one so I could get a rough idea of the size. Of course, she looks totally cute in it, even if the jacket is (luckily) a bit too big for her. But it’ll definitely fit a newborn.

Here are a few photos:

New Knitting Patterns for April + March 29, 30, and 31

In this sleeping bag, dolls or newborns can sleep sweetly and cozily tucked in. Of course, teddy bears too. It is easy to knit, even for beginners with knitting experience.

The doll in the photo is 46 cm tall. This means the sleeping bag also fits Baby Born perfectly. The length and width can be changed very easily.

April Projects: Great Titles and Nice People

Yes, you can, Sandra—shopping for yarn is a thrill that only yarn addicts can truly understand. It’s a highlight—every single time! :)))

But I’m being very brave, because when I look at my stash like this… I imagine I have my own yarn shop. Then I come up with a new project—and go through everything that might work for it.

I loooove having this stash, because—at least most of the time—I have exactly what I need on hand.

By the way, here’s what the baby jacket looks like now. The loose ends are woven in, and the buttons are sewn on. I’ve already started on the hood; it’s knitted on. I’m totally in love with this little jacket.

Let’s see how much yarn I have left. I’m sure I can knit something else to go with it.

Grinning from ear to ear, Sandra. :)))
Your yarn stash is a joke compared to mine.... Mine is practically a store. ;-)
What you have there would be leftovers to me...

44 skeins... I have that many in just two of my drawers. If I estimate the amount like that... I have at least 5 times as much. And somehow it’s only going down just a little bit, because I’m not working on any major projects right now.

Dear friends, I’d love to join in again. I’m not quite sure yet what I want to make, but the ideas will come. Right now, I’m in the final stretch on the baby jacket.

Sandra, you’ve got a lot planned. I can’t wait to see your amazing creations! Buying yarn... sigh! No, I’ll keep working on using up my yarn stash. There’s still plenty to do. And I’ve got plenty to choose from, too.

The weekend is here :-) Have fun.

I’m going to take advantage of the beautiful spring weather and spruce up the garden. There’s quite a bit to do. Plus, of course, I’ll keep knitting on my new project—a baby cardigan.

March Projects: Part 2.

Yes, the little doll is really super cute, and so is her bigger sister.

I was actually without a project for a while, but without my knitting needles—that’s just not possible. So I came up with a new project and have already started it. Since the baby is due at the end of May and time flies until then, I’ve started a summer cardigan made of thick cotton (75 m LL). It already looks very pretty—take a look:

The cardigan is being knitted using only natural colors—beige, light brown, and brown. At the bottom, I’ve knitted in a heart-shaped lace pattern, and the rest of the pattern will be a very simple one using purl and knit stitches. The cardigan will also have a hood. That’s really practical in the summer for a very tiny baby.

The cardigan will probably only fit for the first 3 months; by fall, there’ll be one made of wool. But that’s okay, because the cardigan will then fit Linja’s big doll. I’m already looking forward to when it’s finished.

I wish all of you here a wonderful weekend. We’ve had spring weather here since today, and I’ll be back to working in the garden and knitting. I’m really looking forward to it. :)

Ida, feel free to take a break every now and then—you’ve earned it. :)
We’re not running a competition here, after all. I’m just always happy when I stop by and see something new being shared. Your sock starts look pretty.

I’ve actually finished the last jar cover and the mini sleeping bag, too. It turned out so cute. I’m really looking forward to giving it as a gift.

Here’s what it looks like now—with a doll inside. This doll is part of a pair that Linja is also getting. This one represents her little sister, and the bigger one represents her herself. I’ll show you those too.

So here’s the mini sleeping bag:

And here are the last two jars in their covers:

Wow, Ruth, that little dress turned out really lovely. It kind of reminds me of when my son was little and I used to sew a lot back then.
