Hard-Working Little Helpers in Early April

dear hard-working little helpers,
how are you all doing?

Over the weekend, I embroidered “Faith, Love, Hope” for my granddaughter’s First Communion

I spent the day out in the sun getting a tan—I think I might have gotten sunburned now. Didn’t do any crafting, just read and lazed around. But now it’s back to my socks!

Anton and I went to the zoo, so I didn’t get a chance to do any crafts. Now I’m starting that. But the day was great:

We visited the relatives of Anton’s giraffe. :-)

Now I’ll quickly sew on two buttons, and then a guardian angel is calling that still needs some hair and a hairstyle.

Since I couldn’t sleep a wink last night, I didn’t get much done today either. I just embroidered my Easter decorations

For once (thanks to three train rides!), I was really productive on a Tuesday and knitted an entire dishcloth with a bunny motif. Now I actually wanted to cast on the jacket for my youngest grandchild, but I realized that, of all things, I had left the first—and therefore currently most important—color at home! What a bummer!!!

I finished knitting the baby jacket for my new grandchild on the balcony today.

Thank you, everyone! Yes, I’ve totally fallen in love with the jacket, too. It was made from leftover cotton, and I even have some left over. 

I’m currently knitting a Guernsey sweater with great passion, which is also going to become a pattern. Last week I realized I’d messed up the measurements by 10 cm in one spot and had to rip out a looooot of it. But while I was at it, I came up with an improvement to the pattern layout, so: You never know what it’s good for :-)

Now I want to work hard to catch up again, but my day job is getting in the way...sniff
Who’s going to write me an excuse note for the boss??
