Elegant and refined, the shawl "Golden Days" is a rectangular stole with lace and cable patterns. The pattern is written for merino wool with a yardage of 105 m per 50 g. However, the shawl can be adapted very easily to a wide variety of yarns. The pattern is written out row by row and also shown in a knitting chart. A stylish shawl for stylish mothers.

Here is the pattern.

Mother’s Day and Father’s Day 2018: Download the most beautiful designs now

On Mother's Day, it should be something special. A dreamily beautiful lace shawl like a fairy tale from long-forgotten times—that is the Snow White shawl. Knitted from sock-weight yarn in two different colors, it also combines two different patterns that stand out from each other in color. Everything is explained in detail in words and with a knitting chart. Treat your mother to a shawl for more sophisticated tastes!

You can find the pattern here.

Lace patterns: Sensationally good.

“Paean” is a triangular shawl with lots of openwork, crocheted from sock yarn. This shawl can be crocheted in any size you like, which will determine how much yarn you’ll need. A romantic ruffled edge completes the look.

You can find the pattern here.

Download your new weekend project now

Temperatures are rising, and so is the desire for lighter projects you can take outdoors. These little bags are quick to finish in an afternoon in the garden, are very easy to knit, and can be put to good use afterward for wrapping small gifts. Don’t forget, Mother’s Day is coming soon!

You can find the pattern here.

Happy weekend: What are you up to?

Yesterday I was in town to visit my dad. If it’s true, he’ll be moving into a retirement home next week. That’s a huge weight off my mind.
It was so hot in the concrete jungle, I thought I was going to melt. Today I’ll probably find a shady spot on the balcony.

Arni, you’re going to become a serial finisher here! That jacket is totally cute! Especially with babies, it’s okay to be a little kitschy—you won’t be able to do that later anyway.
(I just realized I’m repeating exactly what Ruth already said...)

Red, Pink, Hot Pink, and Purple: The Girls’ Thread for April

Would anyone like to crochet a shawl? A simple lace pattern, a simple triangular shawl, with everything explained in detail in writing and with a crochet chart.
My original is made with lace yarn, but you can use other yarns for it too.

Here’s the pattern.

Pot Holders: Download New Models That Aren’t Boring

For those who prefer it simple - a simple knit-purl pattern that's knitted up in no time with thick cotton. Beginners can make this too!

Pot Holders: Download New Models That Aren’t Boring

Potholders are a lot of fun to make. They work up so quickly! In no time at all, you have that sense of accomplishment, plus something beautiful and useful for your home.
For knitters with a bit more experience, I have a model here with hearts, knitted using the double-face technique. That means the colors on the front are mirrored on the back—a very nice effect.
For materials, you'll need cotton in two different colors. Knitting needles, possibly a little thinner than indicated on the label.

You can find the pattern here.

Bags and Backpacks

A handbag with goldfish also looks great and is something not everyone has. For it, you’ll need cotton with a yardage of 125 m per 50 g (1 skein of each color), a 3 mm knitting needle, and also a crochet hook for the handles. The section with the fish is knitted (knitting chart for the fish included), and the handles are then crocheted.

Bags and Backpacks

A shopping bag is always useful, especially now when the market is full of the most wonderful things. A bag like this is also wonderfully easy to knit yourself.
You’ll need a few skeins of cotton and a matching circular knitting needle. These are very approximate details—that’s because you can knit this bag in a wide variety of yarn weights, and the amount needed depends on that.

You can find out more about it here.

Yellow and Orange: The Sun Is Rising.

A simple crocheted scarf can really make an impression when it’s worked in bright meadow-flower colors. No one will overlook you anymore!
The pattern is easy. How to make the cables is explained in a tutorial. For materials, you’ll need two 100 g skeins of sock yarn.

You can find the pattern here.

Yellow and Orange: The Sun Is Rising.

Want some sunshine for your kitchen? How about a potholder?
You’ll need fairly thick cotton yarn, knitting needles that are a bit thinner than those indicated on the yarn label, and knowledge of knit and purl stitches. It’s not that bad, is it?

Where do you find fresh design ideas?

Actually, I’m not really sure. Design ideas are everywhere. Most of the time, they just strike like lightning, and then I have to act on them.

Bobbel and Gradient Yarn: The Latest Designs

This knitted stole looks wonderful in gradient yarns and, on top of that, isn’t difficult to knit at all. It features a simple lace pattern, explained in both written form and through a knitting chart. For my original, I used a cotton-blend yarn, but you can, of course, use other types of yarn as well.

The pattern can be found here.

You’re right—"shame wool" really doesn’t sound good. But I was actually referring more to my own shame for not sticking with it long enough to achieve world domination. The wool isn’t to blame at all—it’s perfectly well-behaved anyway :-)
