Temperatures are rising, and so is the desire for lighter projects you can take outdoors. These little bags are quick to finish in an afternoon in the garden, are very easy to knit, and can be put to good use afterward for wrapping small gifts. Don’t forget, Mother’s Day is coming soon!

This crochet shawl is very relaxing to make, and you can crochet it in any size and with any yarn you like. The simple lace pattern, which is written out and shown in a crochet chart, is quick to memorize, so nothing stands in the way of relaxed hours.

This craft project also only takes a few weekend hours. The window decoration will brighten your mood and is also great bird protection.

The picture is made from photo cardstock and transparent paper; each butterfly measures approx. 37 x 36 cm. Covering the wings is a little fiddly, but with a bit of patience the picture is also well suited for craft beginners with little experience.

I also have a wonderful weekend project: a rug made from acrylic yarns. All you need is lots of colorful acrylic yarn and a size 6 crochet hook. You can make the rug as small or as large as you like. The back is made non-slip with anti-slip spray (source is provided) or a rug anti-slip underlay from the hardware store. In the crochet pattern, I describe and show you exactly how it’s done. I can already tell you: it’s a lot of fun.
