For this, you’ll need half a ball each of black and white cotton yarn, scraps of red and yellow yarn, a 2.5 mm crochet hook, some stuffing, eyes for hanging or googly eyes, and a toothpick.
Tooorsten isn’t hard to crochet. You’ll need a little patience to sew it together, though—but it’s worth it!

I also have something nice and practical for the dads: a pair of proper felt slippers. They’re practical and keep feet nice and warm. Felt regulates temperature and is breathable. used here: just under 50 g raffia, e.g. Rafia by Adrialfil, 100% cellulose (Rafia by Mondial, 100% viscose), 25 g – 50 m, hand wash, for hook size 4.5 – 5.0, used here: 4.5 mm crochet hook; measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends; gauge with this material: 4 single crochet = 3.5 cm / 1 row = approx. 1 cm high.

Finished measurements with “Rafia” raffia yarn: approx. 5 cm at the widest point – approx. 130 cm – length variable.

When using a cotton yarn, e.g. MyBoshi No. 2, 50 g – 100 m, for crochet hook 4 – 5, (gauge according to the label: 18 stitches x 22 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm), the tie comes out about 5 mm narrower for me. But that also looks wonderful. Yardage needed is also approx. 50 g.

The PDF pattern includes 6 pages and is illustrated (but is not a basic crochet course). It includes a short version for printing. Difficulty level: easy.
