I wanted to pick up a pack of my craft beads today, and lo and behold: I shopped there just a week ago, but today the whole store is empty. Same goes for the beverage store three shops down.
Just last week, I spoke with a saleswoman at T..i about a certain type of yarn. She said that when it came in, she’d set some aside for me. Now I’m stuck, because that’s where I bought almost all my supplies.
Don’t the employees know that they won’t be working there a week later?

Amigurumi yarn comes in various packs, e.g., 10 x 10 g, 10 x 15 g, 15 x 20 g. It’s available in crayon colors, pastels, or color packs (shades of blue, green, brown, etc.), as well as cotton or mercerized cotton.
What are scraps to one person are whole skeins to another.

I’m glad the dark red fluffy yarn has found a new home. It was just lying around at my place because it was too much for a scarf and too little for a sweater.

It’s really hard to choose something when there’s sooo much to choose from.

If the package was for the May Day dance, then I just hope my “temporary fix” held up 🙄

It’s arrived. I can’t say whether it’s complete. At the bottom, one side had come completely loose and the other was hanging by a tiny bit of tape. Normally I would have sent it back, but I was afraid that the wool would definitely not arrive complete.

     


There were larger packages lying on the bottom, so I hope nothing was lost.


There are some real treasures in there again, and I found what I was looking for right away. My haul is going into my “waiting box” for now 😉



And since I was so quick, the package is already on its way again. 🚚

However, the nice man at the store said the package was right on the borderline for size M—actually more like L. But since we have a pickup person who’s willing to turn a blind eye, he let it go through as an M-sized package.
Maybe keep that in mind for the next box.

I brought some chicken thighs and soup greens to make a delicious chicken soup.

Magnolias always bloom so beautifully. There’s a really big tree on our main street, too. With the lousy weather we had today, there probably won’t be much of that splendor left. The whole sidewalk will be a slippery mess again.
