I was referring to the bottom granny squares in the picture (new pattern)

I tried out a new pattern again. I crocheted it based on the picture (bottom image)
—once in a multicolored version and once in a solid color.

Here you go—I was happy to make them.
Prep time: about 15 minutes (kneading the dough); baking time: 20–25 minutes; done.

I baked another batch today. They were all gone in a single day.

It’s not that hard at all. If you give it a try, feel free to post a photo.

You all knit and crochet like world champions. I think that for us needlework women, our hands just can’t keep still—that’s how it is for me, anyway. I always have to have something to do.
Monika, yes, that little crocheted cup is just for decoration; it’s sewn shut at the top. Maybe a keychain—I could even embroider the word “Cappu” on it, because I like drinking it so much.
I’m almost starting to like the greenish jumpsuit for your teddy even better than the first one—more subtle. The colorful part in the OT is what does it. Great
Wollbaerli, your wrist warmers look so chic. I love knitted things because they’re softer than crocheted ones. I used to knit too, but I can’t do it as well as you. I’d even wear those, even though I’ve never had wrist warmers before. Simply great.

You’re all raving about this sponge yarn; maybe I should try it too sometime. I touched it in the shop once—prickly—and thought it would be too stiff for crocheting, but apparently not, judging by the finished results I see from you all. But only after the yarn diet.

Your loop, Ina, looks great. It goes perfectly with the black leather jacket, of course.

Here’s the quick recipe for quark dough.

200 g sugar
1 egg
6 tbsp oil
8 tbsp milk
a pinch of salt
250 g low-fat quark
400 g flour
1 packet baking powder

Mix the ingredients together and knead into a firm dough.
Roll out on a floured surface. Cut out squares and fill as desired with apples, jam, or applesauce. Don’t use too much filling so it doesn’t spill out during baking. I fold them into triangles. Place the pieces on a floured baking sheet and brush with egg yolk.
Bake at about 180°C (fan) for about 25–30 minutes until golden brown. I got about 20 pieces.

Wollbaerli, that mug warmer looks great. Since yarn does stretch a little, I’m sure it’ll fit. The colors are pretty.
Monika, the jumpsuit for your teddy bear looks awesome. It fits perfectly. I used to have a thing for collecting teddy bears too (though smaller ones), but crocheting outfits for them is something I could really try sometime.

Some lovely things have been made here again. I enjoy looking at them.

If it weren’t for COVID, we could always get together for an afternoon of crocheting, coffee, and chatting. We’d take turns, visiting each forum member’s place once :-) :-) :-)

All right. Just one more question: which coffee? Latte, cappuccino, espresso, or café crema...

I felt like baking apple turnovers today using this quark yeast dough. Some of them are filled with jam, too, because I only had one apple left. It’s quick to make, and you’ll have something delicious to go with your coffee.

I’m still working on using up my leftover yarn, too.
Here’s another colorful mosaic granny square. I only had small balls of yarn left. It’s about 13 cm square. I checked the time—it took me 1 1/2 hours to crochet one granny square at a normal pace.

@Ina, thanks for your ideas. Maybe a pillowcase or perhaps a small granny square blanket with these mosaic squares. They’re too small for potholders—you can’t really tell from the picture.
Thanks, Ina, for the yarn info—I’ll keep that in mind once my “yarn diet” is over or my yarn stash has shrunk. I still have quite a bit in stock.
@Monika, yes, there’s a pattern available for purchase for the mosaic squares. I’ll admit, I “cheat” on Etsy every now and then. You can find it in the Engimonogifts shop. Check it out.
To be honest, I’m also up for a doll room, dollhouse, or mini furniture. I guess I’m still a little girl at heart. But I think it’s great when I’m not the only one who feels that way.
@Petra, yes, thank you. I haven’t quite decided what I’m going to do with it yet. It depends on how far the scraps go.

I’m trying to crochet up my leftover yarn. To do this, I used the mosaic technique and tried out this pattern (based on AL) in the form of these squares.

Belated birthday wishes from me, too. Health is especially important these days, and keep up the great work with your shop.

@Monika, yes, the little doll is staying with me—I’m totally in love with her because she turned out so well. Plus, I don’t have any blonde curls left, so I’m keeping her for that reason alone. Someday she’ll get a second dress, or I’ll make a little boy to go with her.

@Ina, your loop scarf is sure to be really cozy, but your purple yarn looks pretty delicate, and those thin needles… I don’t think that would be for me. Crocheting with a 1.75 needle is no problem. Hats off to you, Ina.

I also think crocheted borders are very pretty, but I prefer a more delicate style.

I wish everyone a wonderful weekend in advance, and if the weather’s bad, we can all get to work on our crafts to our hearts’ content.

Like every year, we’re both home alone—with one exception: no children or parents are coming to visit us.
Still, I’m going to put up a few Christmas decorations. For just the two of us, we don’t need a big Christmas tree—a small artificial one will do. Time to decorate: ornaments, and instead of tinsel, those red bead chains. I’ll set out my little crocheted Christmas doll. I need colorful lights everywhere—on the little tree and in the window—and that’s it.
Let’s see what delicious food we’ll have—maybe turkey with dumplings and red cabbage, or lasagna; we haven’t decided yet. My husband is on vacation, and I’m home anyway because of reduced work hours, so we’ll have a nice, cozy evening watching TV.
Christmas is such an emotional time again—Christmas carols, loved ones far away—it brings tears to my eyes all over again. Whether we like it or not, we all just have to deal with it, even if it’s hard.
That’s why I’m glad to be here with all of you at CP.

You’ve all been so hard at work again. I’m crocheting a little here and there with my leftover yarn. I usually work on several projects at the same time.
Right now, I’m finishing up a crocheted doll (embroidering the face, gluing on the hair, crocheting the ears).

I’m still finishing up my crocheted doll (from a pattern). So I still need to glue on the hair, crochet the ears, embroider the face, and finish this little doll pram.

Today I went on a short bike ride. They’re saying the weather’s going to turn bad in the next few days, so I took advantage of the last rays of sunshine.
It’s all close to where we live. The order of the photos isn’t exactly right.

Ina, your scrap cowl already looks so fluffy. It’s definitely going to turn out great.
Ines, you guys have a full schedule—I’d be exhausted too. Your hands need a break. Not being able to travel is something I’m struggling with as well. My parents and kids live in Germany, but I guess we’ll all just have to live with that for now. That’s where Crazypatterns comes in :-)

It’s couch weather here today, too. Maybe a little crocheting or stringing beaded animals. We’ll see.

Thank you so much for your kind, encouraging words. That’s why I enjoy spending time here at CP.
I didn’t use to crochet as much as I do now. It’s only since I discovered this forum.
That’s right, Monika—it really does feel like we’re all sitting together in one big living room, and everyone has their craft supplies with them. I bring fruit tart or muffins, Ina brings delicious cheesecake, there are hot drinks to suit everyone’s taste, and everyone has tips or new patterns to share. I feel right at home here, which is why I’m online every day. :-)

I had fun once again marveling at your creations. Everyone’s been so hard at work.

I’d just made myself a latte macchiato, too. Mmm, delicious cheesecake—enjoy it, Ina . Those pretty, colorful wooden buttons look great on your felt shoes. I did have to look twice (1st picture), though, to make sure they were actually buttons. At first glance, they looked like little feathers. Interesting.
The doorstop is just brilliant. I’d be curious to know what’s inside it, too.

Monika ’s been hard at work again—you knit so quickly. I’d leave the sweater just as it is, without the sun motif. The stripes already make it look pretty enough.

It’s great that we all have a hobby here. Things are pretty slow at our hotel, too. I’m on short-time work—again. So I have time for crafts and DIY projects. It’s not so easy without family.

Still, I wish everyone a relaxing weekend.

I crocheted a giant granny square. I’ve always wanted to try this pattern, and it worked out great. It’s fun.
The round one turned into a coaster (Granny by Petra Perle). I just left out the corners.

I love colorful leaves, and you can already buy those Kakemann cookies—they're delicious.

The gorgeous weather was just perfect for a walk. I had the day off and some free time, so I snapped a few pictures for you.
No snow—it was gone after just one day.
