Hi everyone, thank you so much for the birthday wishes

I haven’t been here in a very long time… somehow a lot has happened…. My rehab was approved super quickly. However, the clinic doesn’t have a spot for me until June (!).
That threw me off a bit. I need the rehab now, not in June...

My husband started a new job in November, and I was given notice effective March 31. It came out of the blue, but our branch is being closed... I was/have been there for 12 years

Anton is growing and thriving, and if there’s one thing he’s good at, it’s arguing 😃
That’s also a bit exhausting.

And the whole situation is getting on my nerves… but I guess a lot of people feel that way.
  
Because of that, I often didn’t have the energy to write here in the evenings.

So, that was a quick update on why I haven’t checked in for so long… I just didn’t feel like writing… but I’ve still been crocheting a lot.

I still had a nice day, and we’re going to make the most of the weekend, too.

Oh my, that’s really a lot all at once.

I’m sending you a big hug from afar for all the negative things that are happening to you and have already happened.
Sometimes so much comes together at once, and then everything is just too much right now.

I hope you can still enjoy the good things that happen all the more.

Thank you so much, Tina. I’m actually doing okay, and we’re trying to make the best of it.

Anton can be so sweet, and two minutes later he’s a real little devil again—it’s really exhausting, but there’s nothing better...
The other day, he was lying in bed with us in the morning, cuddling with Dad... then he turned to me and looked at me in utter horror: “Dad is scratchy”... my husband hadn’t shaved in two days and was prickly... but “Dad is scratchy”... it was so cute.

Dear Sandra,

oh dear, that doesn’t sound good at all, what you’re going through right now. Please feel virtually hugged by me as well. You know, sometimes it’s time for old doors to close so that new ones can open. That’s always been the case in my life, no matter how intense things got. It can also be helpful to open up, just like you did. Then everything is off your chest for the time being, and you already feel a bit better.

Little children that age can really be incredibly exhausting because they test how far they can go. In the past, people called it the “defiant phase” (nowadays apparently something else...). They realize that they have a will of their own. Well, that’s part of it, and it passes, or at least gets better. Maybe that’s a small comfort to you.

That’s why the funny or sweet moments, like the ones you describe, are all the more lovely. I remember that my son often came out with things like that at that age. For example, once when we were sitting on the bus and a Black man was sitting opposite us, he stared at him for a long time and then pointed at him, saying, "Mommy, a 'Negerkuss'." I was infinitely embarrassed at the time, but inwardly I had to laugh. You simply never forget moments like that, just like the loving experiences.

Sandra, I sincerely wish with all my heart that everything develops to your family's joy and that you might be able to start your health retreat a little earlier after all.
