Start of the Week: Wishing You All a Wonderful Week

For the crocheters, I have a pattern with a high fun factor, just right after a stressful workday.

This way to the pattern.

A scarf that has fringe along the sides like a centipede. Crocheted super quickly in thick yarn and looks so cool!

Start of the Week: Wishing You All a Wonderful Week

This shawl with a zigzag edge is perfect for relaxing TV nights and is very easy to knit.

It’s mainly knitted in garter stitch, though the edges require a bit of attention. You start at the bottom point and work your way up, and you can stop at any time once the shawl has reached the desired size. It looks especially nice in sock yarn, but the pattern is basically suitable for any type of yarn.

Start of the Week: Wishing You All a Wonderful Week

These pot holders make a lovely knitting project for a cozy, lazy evening. They’re a breeze to make—just one is done in a flash—and you only need a small scrap of cotton.

You can find the pattern here.

Maybe you’ll even want to knit more of them—these things can be addictive.

Leftover yarn in white, gray, and silver

You can use some gray or white leftover sock yarn, combined with red, to make this little pouch.

You can find the pattern here.

The pouch is knitted from the top down using a set of double-pointed needles and features these cute little hearts, which are shown in a knitting chart. It’s perfect for wrapping small gifts!

Off to the Weekend

A great crochet scarf that you can make a lot of progress on in just one weekend.

You can find it here.

Crocheted from sock yarn in a simple mesh pattern, you’ll see progress quickly. There are a few cables in between, which are explained in a tutorial.

Off to the Weekend

This scarf, knitted from sock yarn, features an intricate cable and lace pattern that’s still easy to pick up. Once you get past the beginning, it practically knits itself. A very nice weekend project!

You can find the pattern here.

Off to the Weekend

If you want to really unwind this weekend, you can do so with this shawl.

You’ll find the pattern here.

A simple triangular shawl that is knitted from the bottom tip upwards. The pattern is very simple, but you need to pay a little attention at the edges. My original is made from sock yarn, but the pattern is basically suitable for any yarn.

Slippers + Socks

Socks with a Fair Isle pattern are always a special treat—not everyone has them.

Take a look at these.

Knitted with 4-ply sock yarn in two colors, this pattern is definitely not suitable for beginners, but anyone with a little experience will surely enjoy working on it.

What have you been crafting today?

I’m working on a shawl and now I’m wondering whether I should add a second color or not. I think I’ll go for it :-)

That’s a lot! You’d hardly be able to fit that all into a standard PDF. You’d have to write 100 pages with high-resolution images in them :-)

Leftover Yarn in Green, Turquoise, and Blue // Creative Ways to Use It

A small bookmark is quick to knit and requires very little yarn.

A scrap of cotton yarn (approx. 20 m), matching knitting needles, and you’re ready to go. The bookmark has a lace pattern that somewhat resembles leaves. A knitting chart is included, as well as row-by-row written instructions.

Leftover Yarn in Green, Turquoise, and Blue // Creative Ways to Use It

These wrist warmers are green and blue, and all you need is a scrap of sock yarn—about 90m is enough for a pair.

You can find the pattern here.

These wrist warmers are easy to knit. They feature a slightly unconventional lace pattern, which is explained in detail in a photo tutorial; otherwise, the pattern presents no difficulties. You don’t even have to struggle with a thumb—they’re knitted in rows.

Wednesday / Midweek / On to the Home Stretch

This airy scarf in a mesh pattern with crocheted cables is relaxing to make and something you can set aside at any time. And if you use bright colors, it’ll invigorate your senses after a long day. You’ll need 2 skeins of sock yarn and a 3.5mm crochet hook.

You can find the pattern here.
