These socks have a very special heel that is very easy to knit. Try it out!!Materials needed:  100 g sock yarn of your choice, e.g. from Gründl socks.
The socks are knitted in the round, and it works great with size 3 needles. Then decrease stitches for the heel and pick up stitches from the knitted fabric.

Have fun knitting and enjoy the warm feet.

Knitting pattern
Socks made from 6-ply yarn - tutorial with charts for all sizes

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

The next winter is sure to come - at least the long evenings and cool/cold days. That’s when socks made from 6-ply sock yarn are just right: they are thicker – and therefore warmer – and, most importantly, quicker to knit than socks made from 4-ply yarn. They are usually preferred as house and bed socks, hut slippers, or even for hiking in mountain boots. Men love socks like these in work boots.

This is basically a sock-knitting tutorial, shown in detail with photos using children’s socks in size 32/33.

All other sizes can be knitted according to the corresponding chart information for 6-ply sock yarn .

Included in the download :

  • PDF sock-knitting pattern - illustrated step by step (22 pages)
  • Baby sock chart for 6-ply sock yarn, for newborns up to shoe size 20
  • Sock chart for 6-ply sock yarn, children’s socks up to adult shoe size 47
We need
1 ball = 150 g (yardage approx. 420 m to 450 m) up to shoe size 44; 200 g – 250 g from size 45 of a 6-ply sock yarn; used here is the especially soft Christmas yarn color 02 “Mally Socks – Lungauer Sockenwolle” by Ferner Wolle, 75% merino, 25% polyamide; gauge approx. 22 sts x 31 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm; set of double-pointed needles 3.5; row counter is helpful; measuring tape,
scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends.

Note:
For 4-ply sock yarns, there is a separate sock-knitting tutorial with corresponding charts here in my shop at https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/items/5603/sockenstrick-lehrgang-fuer-4-faediges-garn-alle-groessen-fuer-baby-kinder-damen-herrensocken

Whether men, women, or children—everyone loves these felt boots with a roll collar. Just come home, slip them on, and feel good! Because nothing is more comfortable, softer, or warmer on your feet than felted wool. It keeps you pleasantly warm, while your feet stay warm and dry. Felted wool helps regulate temperature and is breathable. The felted shoe adapts to every foot shape; nothing pinches or rubs. That makes it the first choice for slippers, even for problem feet. And you can also make them yourself at an affordable price. And for the whole family, because with this pattern you can make felt boots in sizes 20 to 47.

On 30 pages, I describe in detail and step by step how the felted shoes are knitted and felted. The pattern is suitable for beginner knitters: we only knit knit and purl stitches.
I wish you lots of joy with knitting and felting, and always warm feet.

Best regards from Ina

For the transitional seasons in spring or fall, felt moccasins are perfect! Don’t worry—you won’t sweat in them, because felt wool has built-in temperature regulation. Any excess heat is simply released outward through the felt fibers. Your feet can breathe.

Using my pattern, you can make felt shoes for the whole family, friends, and guests (sizes 18–47); it would also be a lovely idea for a preschool group. All the children in Group 3 have red shoes, all the children in Group 2—that would be great, wouldn’t it? You don’t need much felt wool per pair, and they’re quick to knit, too. The washing machine takes care of the felting.

Best regards, Ina

There are also slippers that don't really look like slippers once they're finished knitting,
but rather like little bags.

   these really are slippers!

The pattern describes how to make them very well; you will need 100 g of yarn with a yardage of 120 m/50 g
knitting needles size 3.5, as well as 2 buttons

These skills are required:
> casting on stitches
> knit stitches
> purl stitches
> doubling stitches
> knitting stitches together
> binding off stitches

The pattern also includes step-by-step pictures!
