It’s cold and it’s staying cold—brrrr.... How about a loop scarf that invites you to snuggle up and puts you in a great mood while you’re knitting it? Here I’ll show you two versions, both knitted in double-face. If you’ve never knitted double-face before but would like to give it a try, you’ll find a free pattern for the basics of double-face knitting in my shop.

Brrrr, it's cold!

Even the snowman is freezing and is crocheting (or knitting) himself a warm scarf.

This lid cover for a candy jar is perfect right now in the cold season and can be conjured up from a little yarn and an empty jam jar. You can use it to package sweets, but also gift certificates (e.g., a yarn gift certificate) or even cash gifts.

Click here for the crochet pattern for the “Snowman” lid cover

When you come inside from the cold, you'll be happy to have a warming grain pillow like this. It can be preheated on the radiator or briefly in the microwave and provides a pleasant, dry warmth. And because the pillow cover is such a cute bear, it's especially fun to cuddle with it!

The body is crocheted from cotton yarn (because it is heat-resistant). For the head and limbs, you can use teddy yarn (as shown in the picture). This increases the cuddle factor. You'll find a few tips about this in the pattern. But if you don't feel ready to try this yarn, you can just as easily use another yarn of a similar weight.

Click here for the crochet pattern for the heat pillow cover!

And if you then make yourself a hot tea or a hot soup, you won't burn your fingers on the pot, because you'll have these beautiful and practical potholders that you can slip into like a glove.

These potholders are also crocheted from cotton yarn. The white dots are crocheted in as bobbles.

The leggings for children aged 3–5 are the ideal outdoor clothing for this time of year—even under a snowsuit. They are easy to knit from sock yarn.

Knitting socks for the whole family—that’s really easy with the mowi heel. It’s quick and doesn’t require that annoying heel flap. Try it out and be amazed!

A little pinafore dress that fits babies and even 3-year-old girls—a dream for all knitting grandmas or mothers. It has knitted-in little hearts and looks adorable. Easy to knit, with no seams.

A colorful knitted cardigan made of merino wool (top-down raglan) is always in style for toddlers. It has a hood and pockets, which is very practical on walks. Ideal clothing for the spring that’s coming soon.

A hat like this with a scarf collar is very practical for babies and toddlers. Neck, nape, and head all stay nicely warm and cozy at the same time. However, not all children like having something pulled over their head. That’s why I designed this hat for my granddaughter, which buttons at the front. So mother and child were happy.

To the knitting pattern

And another pair of leggings made from alpaca-merino wool, which grows with the child from 1.5 to about 3 years. Very warm, super comfortable, and sturdy. Easy to knit.

The sleeping owl is crocheted from sponge yarn and can be used for bathing and showering, or for washing dishes.

If you can crochet single crochet, half double crochet, treble crochet, close a seam with slip stitches, and crochet in rounds and rows, the little sleeping owl is very easy to make.

You can find the crochet pattern for the sleeping owl here

Here are a few more recommendations for the knitting friends. For more pictures, information, and the pattern itself, please just click on the headings. I hope you enjoy looking through them and making them yourself.

Best regards, Ina

Felted boots with a rolled collar in all sizes
First we knit the felted shoe, then it goes into the washing machine for felting. We knit the rolled collar separately and then attach it to the felted shoe.

Lace shawl for beginners
Even if you have never knitted lace before, meaning with very fine yarn, you can give this a try. The pattern consists of only 2 constantly repeating rows.

Doll fashion series "Basics"

You can knit all 7 models you see in the photo and combine them with each other.

Felted moccasins in all sizes

You can knit them for yourselves, the kids, guests, or for travel. The washing machine takes care of the felting.

Winter poncho in one size

It is knitted as a top-down raglan.

Wrist warmers
These charm with their decorative cable on the top. They are made with a thumb gusset so that they fit well.

Timeless baby blanket made from merino wool

It is wonderfully soft, warming, and breathable, and can also be washed in the washing machine. The perfect gift for parents-to-be.

One-step felted booties

They are knitted in one piece and then felted in the washing machine. My personal favorite model for winter slippers.

Cardigan for dolls
The 2-piece set consists of a cardigan with variable length and a hat. We knit it as a top-down raglan.

Summer poncho
Wonderfully light and airy, casual, and figure-skimming—a summer classic you can always wear and that suits every woman.

Felted insoles
Here you can wonderfully use up your leftover (felting) wool. We simply knit insoles for winter boots, clogs, and so on. The soles felted in the washing machine are cut to the appropriate size and act in the shoe like a buffer between the cold ground and a warm foot.

Ball gown for little dolls

The doll moms will surely love this, and it doesn't take much yarn either.

Winter set: infinity scarf and hat
The special feature here is the beautiful thick cable all around. The hat is nice and warm because it is doubled at the brim. You can knit a scarf or an infinity scarf to go with it.

Short white poncho

It is not as long at the sides as the usual ones—that has the advantage that you are well warmed around the upper body, but still have freedom of movement for your hands and arms.

The Ice Princess's Coat
We start with the hood and then continue knitting the coat as a top-down raglan. It is knitted in one piece.

Modern slouchy hat with scarf
Young girls and women especially like this model because it drapes so casually. But it is still made from cuddly-soft wool.

Universal infinity scarf for the whole family
It always fits: the kids, your husband, your friend, and yourself. You can knit it in a solid color or with gradient yarn (see photo). The pattern forms all by itself.

Elegant evening dress for little dolls
We knit it with a set of double-pointed needles; a small yarn remnant is enough.

Felted shoes with handmade leather soles
Also ideal for leftover felting wool. The washing machine takes care of the felting

Featherlight infinity scarf

It is wonderfully soft, delicate, and light. No wonder, because it is knitted from high-quality cashmere wool. You should treat yourself or someone dear to you to it. There is nothing better for warming the neck and nape.

Long dress with slit
We knit with a set of double-pointed needles; a little leftover yarn is enough. You can crochet the triangular shawl in the photo; there is a free pattern for it in my shop.

Poncho with fringe
An uncomplicated model to knit, also suitable for beginners who want to diligently knit knit stitches. We don't have to weave in any ends.

Turtleneck sweater for dolls
It has a beautiful, distinctive cable on the front. The length of the sweater is variable, so it could also become a knitted dress. We knit it as a top-down raglan.

Felted cat basket
A new home for the little kitty. You can make the basket in 2 sizes.

Baby bunting bag

At the tummy, the baby bunting bag has a double ribbed band so that the baby stays nice and warm. At the bottom, the baby can kick freely as much as they like. The beautiful braided pattern is fun even while knitting. You can knit the baby bunting bag in 2 sizes.

Wrap cardigan with hat

It looks lovely and grows with the baby for a little while. The ideal gift for parents-to-be.

Short backless summer dress

With very little yarn, you can create little summer dresses. It certainly won't stop at just one.

If you’d like to work on something colorful, this tea light holder comes highly recommended—aside from the fact that you can, of course, recreate it in any color you like, it’s also very easy to make and is perfect as a quick little project.

The tea light holder is made of photo cardstock and is approximately 13 cm in diameter. Thanks to the illustrated instructions, it’s even ideal for beginners.

Crochet pattern for a headband

You should know single crochet, double crochet, and half double crochet. The headband can easily be adjusted to your desired size.

Knitting pattern for baby shoes

For this model, you should already have some practice with a cable needle. A quick little project—also great for leftover yarn

Knitting pattern for a hat in 8 sizes

With this pattern, you’ll be guided round by round until the hat is finished. The loop stitch pattern is explained in detail with pictures, making it easy to knit.

Are you already thinking about Easter?
If you like to give decorated Easter eggs as gifts, this specially designed gift bag is an excellent packaging idea!

The bag is made of cardstock and measures approximately 17 x 15 x 15 cm. It’s easy to make and brings a lot of joy when giving and unwrapping.

This bouquet of daffodils is a wonderful way to get in the mood for spring. Using the same template, you can make these flowers in every color variation imaginable—and, of course, create your very own varieties.

The daffodils are about 29 cm tall. Their blooms and leaves are made from photo cardstock, and the stems consist of aluminum wire wrapped in crepe paper. The flowers are very easy to recreate.
