It depends on the length. I have a few different ones. I wrap a really long one around my neck twice and also use it as a “hood” when it’s really cold and windy.
When dancing, I tie my silk scarf in a tie knot. A lot of people in the group have started doing that too.

I’d put it very simply:
scarf = long, loop = round, Möbius = round but twisted.

I have lots of scarves. My silk loop is either too short or too long. I don’t have a Möbius scarf.
I tend to go for the simple scarf.

If you show strength on the outside, people assume there can’t be anything wrong with you. Especially great is the saying, “She just needs a real man, then she’ll feel better.” And when a “friend” then says, “Oh, you just need
some attention again,” you soon feel desperate.

Don’t let it get you down and keep your chin up—yes, that’s another cliché, but I truly mean it.

Monika, thanks. I just went for it. Your yarn bundle is gorgeous! I’d take it just like that, too. I really like the swatch made from the red yarn, and the leftover-yarn cowl has a great color combination.

My cheese door wreath still looks more like “cheese stew” at the moment,

but I hope I can finish the remaining pieces tonight. Then I could put it all together tomorrow. When I go to the Altes Land on Tuesday, I’d like to have it finished and wrapped, because it’s going to be a Christmas gift.

I bought a black quilted jacket today that had a seam on the sleeve that had come undone by about 3 cm. Instead of €24.99, I paid only €3.99 for it. That’s quite a bargain, and since the defect is near the armpit area, you can’t even see the repaired seam.

Several years ago, I took over my neighbor’s Bauknecht washing machine when she had to move into a nursing home. She never had any problems with the machine, and neither did I—well, until my new neighbor moved in. All our machines sit on pedestals about 25 cm high. Because he always stuffed his machine way too full, it started bouncing around during the spin cycle and knocked my machine over in the process. It fell face-first onto the porthole, and for a 35-year-old machine, there are no replacement parts.
Now I get annoyed every time I have to use the new machine.
My hand mixer is also 25 years old and still works great.
The stereo lasted exactly until the day after the warranty expired. The repair would have cost more than a new system. It’s all just a money-making scheme these days.
