Neck warmers are a great alternative to cowls and scarves for keeping warm in winter...
... you can never have enough of them.

Here, 2 techniques come together—and harmonize beautifully:
Tartan + Tapestry

Who says the tartan technique only shines in knitted fashion? — Far from it!
Crocheted pieces can be wonderfully spruced up too!

The construction looks sophisticated, yet is so easy to work that even beginners will enjoy it!

A detailed step-by-step explanation guides you through the crochet pattern.
For clarity, 1 crochet chart is included in the pattern.
In addition, a template with an integrated diagram helps you through the crochet process.

The tartan technique is also described in detail and illustrated (16 pictures).
The tapestry technique is explained separately as well.

The unrolled scarf has a size of about 34 x 105 cm.
However, it can be made smaller or larger as needed without much effort.
The included template and the gauge help with that!

And here is the pattern and more details...

Why not knit some kids’ socks this weekend? It’s fun, and with the special heel, knitting these socks is no problem at all.

Children’s Socks (4–10 Months) with a Simple Heel

You’ll need a set of 3.5 double-pointed needles and yarn of the appropriate weight.
Of course, you can also use leftover yarn—then you can get started right away.

Good to know: All items in my shop are currently 50% off.

Do you remember those blue milk cans with white polka dots? How about making this nostalgic pot holder? It’s very easy to crochet and can be finished in no time over a weekend.

All you need is:

  • approx. 60 g of blue cotton yarn (e.g., Catania LL, approx. 125 m/50 g)
  • approx. 30 g white cotton yarn of the same quality
  • 3.0 mm crochet hook
Maybe you even have these at home—then you won’t have to go out and buy any yarn!
Then you can get started right away—all that’s missing is the pattern! You can find it here!

Calculation aid for dream projects in your favorite yarns:

Conversion table for yarn quantity, alternative yarn for knitting and crochet

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

This is an Excel spreadsheet for automatically converting a yarn quantity from the “original yarn” to a desired “alternative yarn.”

Example:
The original yarn named in the pattern has a yardage of 85 m per 50 g. According to the instructions there, you need 600 g of this “original yarn” for the desired size. But the knitted/crocheted piece is to be made in a different yarn (= alternative yarn). This chosen preferred yarn has a yardage of 70 m per 50 g skein. You enter this information in the Excel spreadsheet and the required amount of your preferred yarn immediately appears in skeins and grams.

A gauge is always advisable. To determine the number of stitches needed for your individual knitted piece, the simple version of my Excel conversion table for your gauge is included as a bonus.

Important technical note:
To open an Excel spreadsheet, a so-called spreadsheet program, such as Excel, LibreOffice (available free of charge at http://de.libreoffice.org/) or OpenOffice (available free of charge at http://www.openoffice.org/de/), must be installed. Open the file with a double-click and, if the message “Protected View” appears, please click “Enable Editing”

Good luck with all your projects

Already in a carnival mood? Carnival season is especially short this year, so you need to hurry if you still need a costume.

With this crocheted Venetian-style mask, you'll look very mysterious and won't need much else for a costume: a black outfit is enough. You can crochet the mask very quickly from some leftover black cotton (other colors work too, of course!). You're guaranteed to finish it in time for the carnival gala!

Little Sheep Egg Cozy Crochet Pattern
Click here to go directly to the crochet pattern

What you’ll need:
  • Approx. 15g of yarn (it’s best to use 100% cotton yarn, as this makes the egg cozies nice and sturdy. Of course, you can also use any other yarn) in white or brown, suitable for a 3mm crochet hook. Leftover yarn in green.
  • A darning needle and scissors
  • Some stuffing for the head
  • 3mm crochet hook.
  • Googly eyes and superglue
To give the sheep a better fleece look, I use crochet bobbles. I explain this technique at the beginning of the pattern and illustrate it with pictures, so you’ll understand it very quickly ;-). All the other steps are also illustrated and explained with plenty of pictures. Difficulty level: medium, so you should already have some crochet experience ;-) and not choose the sheep as your very first crochet project. The little sheep egg cozies are a super cute eye-catcher on any breakfast table! Also perfect as a gift ;-) !!!

Unicorn Egg Cup Crochet Pattern
Click here to go directly to the crochet pattern

Brighten up your breakfast table with these cute unicorn egg cups. The unicorn egg cups will put a smile on your face first thing in the morning. They make great gifts and are real eye-catchers :-) What you’ll need:
  • Approx. 20g of white yarn, suitable for a 3mm crochet hook. I used 100% cotton, which makes the egg cup nice and sturdy.
  • Scraps of pink yarn (for the unicorn’s mouth), also suitable for a 3mm hook
  • Scraps of white yarn, suitable for a 2mm hook (for the ears)
  • Scraps of purple or yellow/gold yarn, suitable for a 2mm hook (for the horn)
  • Yarn for the mane and tail
  • 6mm safety eyes
  • stuffing
  • Scissors, darning needle, stitch markers
16-page crochet pattern with plenty of pictures

Difficulty level: Easy—you should be familiar with the basic crochet techniques (making a magic ring, crocheting in spiral rounds, single crochet, sewing on individual pieces...). The pattern uses only single crochet stitches, so it’s also suitable for beginners.

A pretty weekend craft project to get ready for spring - attached to the ceiling, this decorative ball brightens the last dreary winter days with its soft yellow.

The ball is made from photo cardstock and construction paper and measures approx. 20 cm ø. It
is easy to make and also very well suited for crafting beginners.

How about a few grannies for the weekend?

The individual grannies are quick to crochet and easy to take along in your handbag to any get-together.

I crocheted my grannies in two colors using yarn with a yardage of 125 m.

At the end, you can sew them together or crochet them together, whether into a beautiful blanket or just 4 pieces into a lovely pillow.

In total, I offer 5 different grannies in my shop, all the same size, so you can also crochet a beautiful pattern-mix blanket.

Have a look at my collection of grannies.

Feel like trying something new, but all the stores are already closed?

Then my crochet pattern for a little basket is just the thing.

You can crochet this oval basket with (almost) any yarn. Depending on the yarn weight and hook size, it will be about 20–23 cm in size.

Thanks to the many pictures in the 10-page pattern, and if you know single crochet and double crochet, the basket is easy to crochet. Here you can find the basket pattern. Bring spring into your home with colorful yarn.......

This lovely shopping net is easy to crochet and quick to make.
It's a true everyday helper and is good for the environment. The lettering puts you in a good mood and also makes it a great gift for good friends.

For the material, I used Catania by Schachenmayr; of course, you can also use any other cotton yarn—also great for using up scraps. Crochet hooks 2.5 mm and 3.0 mm. The bag is 35 cm wide and 45 cm tall (including handles).

Suitable for beginners.

The pattern is described in detail with a counting pattern, crochet chart, and many pictures.

This cute wrap bracelet is crocheted in no time. An eye-catcher on any wrist. Super comfortable to wear—lightweight and trendy. Also a great gift or little something to bring along.

The bracelet can also be worn as a super cute anklet. And if you simply make it longer, it becomes a chic, delicate belt.

The bracelet is crocheted in one piece, so there’s no annoying weaving in of ends (only the starting and ending tail). So grab some yarn and a crochet hook and get started.

Here’s the pattern

Materials: Anchor Aida crochet thread or Woll Butt Diana size 10, 1.5 mm crochet hook, sewing needle

Required prior knowledge: chain stitch, slip stitch, and double crochet

Detailed description as a PDF file with text, photos, and a crochet chart.

With this knitting pattern you can, even as a beginner, knit a really wonderful basic triangular scarf for babies and toddlers!

This scarf has already been successfully knitted many times by beginners.
With the pattern, you can knit a scarf from merino wool or also a scarf from cotton—the cotton version is also very popular as a drool bib!

Click here and take a look at more pictures and additional info!

This scarf is great: It is super soft and can be put on with one click. Moms and kids love it! It is suitable from the time the baby can sit in the stroller and fits for a really, really long time (up to 3 years). Especially great: This is a 1-skein project and therefore a perfect weekend project!

Have fun knitting!
