Small cloths are great for using up leftover yarn - they’re quick to make and, depending on the yarn used, can be used as comfort cloths, washcloths, dishcloths, or potholders. Here you’ll find a few suggestions from me for how you can conjure up great motifs from your leftover yarn:

Crochet pattern cloth “Ella Unicorn”

Crochet pattern washcloth “Cheeky Sheep”

Crochet pattern potholder and dishcloth “Flamingo LOVE”

Crochet pattern cloth “Elo Elephant”

Crochet pattern cloth “Bear Tobi”

Crochet pattern cloth “Love Birds”

Made from leftover yarn—and perfect for the upcoming Christmas season—the “Christmas” lid covers are ideal.
Whether it’s gingerbread, the Grinch, St. Nicholas, a snowman, or a moose, and whether for candy, monetary gifts, or even as an Advent calendar: these lid covers are quick to crochet and look great, too.

This doll diaper for 43–50 cm baby dolls is a super cute and quick project for using up leftover yarn. I don’t know any toddler who wouldn’t love it, especially since the diaper is so easy to use thanks to the Velcro fasteners.

The Scrap Eaters Gang lets you use up lots of different leftovers, including buttons and toilet paper rolls. Even children can get creative with this one.

These cute little heart baby booties are also crocheted from leftovers. Very simple and quick. A baby can never have enough of them.

A shopping bag for the pretend shop can also be crocheted quickly from leftovers. Then you can put lemons and carrots straight inside, and giving it as a gift is a real joy.

Toddlers love feeding their dolls. This food for the play kitchen makes it even more fun. They get the same food they have on their own plates, for example toast with butter and a fried egg or pasta with vegetables.

Small leftovers are definitely enough for these two door guardians—the owl and the bear. It’s best to crochet both right away, because everyone will surely want one for their room. Very easy to make and very cute and useful—even for the home office.

A whole family of elves can be crocheted from leftovers—even for an Advent calendar. Since they are quick to finish, you can still start now.

A tissue box should always be within easy reach, preferably in every room. With this cover, those ugly cardboard boxes look really decorative. They’re always a hit as gifts.

Fall and winter are once again the time when you make yourself cozy indoors, for example with an exciting book.
If you have small amounts of leftover yarn, you can crochet really charming bookmarks from them. There’s something for everyone:

For fairy-tale fans:
Frog King Bookmark

For fantasy heroes:
Dragon Bookmark

For animal lovers:
Monkey Bookmark

 Fox Bookmark

For romantics:
Heart Bookmarks

For everyone who loves funny things:
 Clown Bookmark

For everyone who likes a good scare:
Ghost Bookmark
