Crochet Pattern Potholders "Flamingo LOVE"

Flamingos and love – I think that matches perfectly. That’s why I went for this combination for these charming potholders. They are a lovely present for somebody you like and whom you wish lots of joy and love in life. You can combine and mix colours as you like, of course. I’m looking forward to seeing your results !

These potholders are worked in the Tapestry Crochet Technique. This is quite easy, fun to do, and it is explained in detail in the pattern.

As a little gift the pattern also includes the crochet chart for the motif "LOVE." in a smaller version, so that the size is suitable for a dishcloth or washcloth.

If you prefer knitting, there is a double knitting pattern available in my shop for potholders with the flamingo motif.

Required skills:

• Good basic knowledge of crocheting (chain stitch, single crochets for the potholders; for ther border also double and treble crochets)
• Crochet with two colours (the technique is quite easy to learn and is explained in detail in the pattern)

Gauge (crocheted with both colours):
22 stitches x 22 rows = approx. 10 x 10 cm

Size of the finished potholders will be approx. 24,5 x 24,5 cm.
Size of the finished dishcloth will be approx. 20,5 x 20,5 cm.

If the gauge is different, the size of the finished produt will be different, too.

• for the potholders: 100 % cotton 125 m / 50 gr, DROPS Loves You 9; violet, light grey, amethyst, dark grey one skein à 50 gr each
• for the smaller dishcloth : 100 % cotton 125 m / 50 gr, Schachenmayr Catania; about 25 gr white, remainders in many different colours
• Crochet hook 2,5 mm
• Sewing needle
• Scissors
