Double sided knitting pattern "Indian Love" - stole / wrap

Product description

This stole will take you to exotic worlds filled with lush flowers and fascinating elephants. Whether you pair it with a casual or elegant outfit, you are sure to attract admiring glances and receive many compliments!

The stole is knitted in the double sided knitting technique. Thus, it is extra soft and looks beautiful on both sides.

If you like the elephant but prefer smaller projects, there is a pattern for the elephant as potholders / dishcloth: https://www.crazypatterns.net/en/items/116479/indian-love-double-sided-knitting-pattern-for-potholders-dischloths

More patterns for unique stoles and other double knitted accessories you will find in this collection:

Skills Required / What You'll Receive

Required skills: double knitting in general. Due to the size of this project, I don't recommend it as a starter project for double knit beginners (unless you really really want to knit it and have enough stamina for it )

You will get three pdf files:

  • general instructions on how to knit the stole
  • two knitting charts for the motifs

Please note: all files beginning with "en -" are in English.

skills level: advanced

Size Information

25 stitches per colour x 33 rows = 10 x 10 cm

With this gauge, size of the finished stole will be approx. 40 cm x 187 cm.

Materials List

  • 4-ply gradient yarn 270 g / 1000 m each in two different colours; I used the set «Indian Love» from Mr. Twister; you will find the link to the online shop in the pattern
  • knitting needles 2.5 mm / US 1 ½
  • tapestry needle, scissors
