Always popular and, especially for women with constantly cold hands, a truly wonderful accessory: arm warmers, of course! For best friends, favorite daughters, or the best moms and grandmas, the FEATHERS & LINES arm warmers make a very special gift—delicate, playful, and feminine! Fine lines transition into a beautiful leaf or feather pattern—a varied knitting project!

And keep hands warm for both men and women with the HIGHLAND MITTS! A Celtic cable pattern is the eye-catcher, while a simple ribbed pattern provides the necessary fit! The pattern is written for 3 sizes and 2 versions, so there’s something for both small and large hands!

Now you’re spoiled for choice! In any case, I hope you have lots of fun knitting and are really looking forward to Christmas!

I also think a handmade accessory is a wonderful idea for your loved ones at Christmas, whether it’s something fashionable or something decorative and useful for the home. Below I’m suggesting a few designs for you that can still be finished in time for Christmas Eve. All the designs shown are knitted in double-face. Just click the link under the image to go directly to the pattern and more information.

Knitting pattern for “Flamingo Love” potholders - the two flamingos in love are already looking forward to being put to use in your kitchen! And when they have nothing to do, they’ll just hang around looking pretty ;-) Thanks to the double-face knitting technique, they look great on both sides and are nice and dense!

Knitting pattern for the “Life is magic” gym bag - Christmas is the perfect time for a little magic! This gym bag knitted in double-face with glitter thread will make children’s eyes light up under the Christmas tree.

Knitting pattern for the “Hearts” beanie - with this sweet reversible beanie, it’s clear: it was made with lots of love! The size is easy to adjust to the wearer’s head circumference.

Knitting pattern for the “Cheeky Sheep” reversible beanie - with this cheeky sheep, you might just get a laugh under the Christmas tree :-) In any case, it’s cuddly soft and can be worn on both sides thanks to double-face knitting. The size is also easy to adjust.

Knitting pattern for the “Love & Energy” loop scarf - give love and energy for Christmas—that’s possible with this loop scarf featuring Chinese characters. Then the recipient can snuggle up in it all winter long :-)

Wishing you lots of fun choosing and a lovely Advent season, Sonja

What would I knit for my loved ones for Christmas? The selection is huge, but here are my favorites. You can’t go wrong with these, and the recipient will be delighted.

I wish you lots of joy browsing, knitting, and giving.

Warm regards from Ina

Scarf with beaded lace

This is a fine cashmere scarf with silk. Along the edge there is a wide border with knitted-in rocaille beads. It can be worn open as a stole or wrapped as a scarf.

Fingerless mitts

These make wonderful gifts for all the female members of the family or for a friend. They have a shaped thumb. There is a decorative cable at the top, and the insides are knitted in stockinette stitch.

Timeless baby blanket
It is made from cozy, soft merino wool and is the perfect gift for all babies and toddlers. Under it and with it, you feel wonderfully comfortable, because it is breathable and can even be washed in the washing machine. It will bring joy for years.

The Ice Princess’s Coat

A magical little coat for your daughters’ and granddaughters’ small dolls. The coat is knitted as a top-down raglan.

Ball gown
A lovely doll dress is always a nice gift for the little girls in the family, too. Maybe this would even be something for St. Nicholas Day.

One-Step Felted Shoes
You can make them in all sizes as gifts for the whole family or for friends. They are knitted in one piece; the washing machine takes care of the felting.

“Featherlight” infinity scarf
A gossamer-light infinity scarf that every woman will love. It is knitted from wonderfully cuddly soft cashmere yarn with silk content. Once you have worn it, you won’t want to be without it.

Lace shawl for beginners

The colors come straight from the ball of yarn. I show you how to knit the simple yet effective pattern, and how we block the scarf at the end so it can reveal its full beauty.

Slouchy hat with scarf
This would be the ideal gift for young women. They tend to like things more casual. But it should still keep them warm, of course. With the soft baby alpaca wool knitted into it, it certainly will.

Felted moccasins
This is also a lovely gift for anyone. You can make the felted slippers in all sizes. The washing machine takes care of the felting.

Hat and scarf

This is always a good choice, too. Anyone who receives such a beautiful set as a gift won’t have to freeze in winter. A little tip: first check which winter jacket the recipient prefers to wear, and only then choose the color for the hat and scarf. The hat is double-knitted and has a lovely wide cable all around as an eye-catcher.

Elegant evening dress for small dolls
You can knit this casually on the side and then give it as a bundle to your little granddaughter for Christmas. It is knitted with a set of double-pointed needles. A few bits of leftover yarn are enough.

Felted boots with roll collar
This is the warmest model from my collection. Here the felted shoe keeps you warm below, and the roll collar adds extra warmth. You can knit and give them in all sizes and colors.

For a cozy Christmas: the Konpaku soul warmer .

Konpaku is knitted from the center out and can be made any size you like.
Any yarn suitable for needle size 5 will work.
I used acrylic yarn.

Kafu arm warmer as a gift or to keep for yourself—maybe even both: either way, Kafu keeps your arms warm.

Since socks are a popular gift, this time you might want to try the reversible version :

Uzumakisen is knitted as a spiral sock that can be worn either way .

Doll clothes are still the best gift for doll moms of all ages. They’re quick to make—sometimes even from leftover yarn—and bring back memories of your own childhood while you’re knitting. Dressing and undressing dolls was one of my favorite games back then, and even today, at 66, I still get great joy out of it.

I now have my own collection of doll and teddy bear clothes in my pattern shop. Here are a few designs—all perfect as Christmas gifts and guaranteed to be finished in time:

The following designs fit baby dolls measuring about 45–50 cm and also small newborns. Click the links for more information.

A cute outfit—buttonless with tie strings, easy to knit.

This sweater is designed for teddy bears of the same size. It’s knitted with raglan shaping from the bottom up.

Larger teddy bears (40 cm) look totally cute in these sweet striped pants. You can even see their little tails peeking out. Also well-suited for beginners.

A hat for all the men in the family - this pattern comes in 8 sizes and is easy to make.

It is knitted with a set of double-pointed needles, and you should know how to knit and purl stitches.

Baby shoes with a beautiful cable pattern

The little shoes are knitted with a set of double-pointed needles, and you should have some practice with double-pointed needles.

A lovely baby blanket - cable look without a cable needle

Knitted using only knit and purl stitches, this model is also suitable for beginners

Knitting pattern for a scarf

Only knit and purl stitches are used to knit this wonderful pattern. The scarf begins with a point and ends with a point as well.

If there’s no snow again this Christmas, you can at least give the gift of a little winter feeling—on this cowl, Tobi the bear cub experiences a wonderful snowy winter day.

The cowl is knitted using the double-knitting technique; the basics are explained in the pattern.

There’s a new pattern for teddy bear clothes—a cute onesie. It fits teddy bears and dolls that are about 25–30 cm tall.

The onesie is very easy to put on and take off since it doesn’t require any buttons. This is especially handy for kids. The pattern covers two different yarn weights and also includes tips for other sizes.
